I have a bench press competition coming up for the 25 of feburary, they also have deadlifting going on as well. A friend of mine is trying to get me to do the dead lift as well, but i've never really deadlifted. I'll be in the 165lb class, while my bench is real strong and im sure ill place (last competition i got 350) i wouldnt want to embarass my self with a weak deadlift. Yesterday i played around with deadlifting as my friend was wondering if i could get 315, i was able to do that but not sure how much more i could get. I think when the comp rolls around i should at least be able to do 330
(ive been natural all my life so i dont think ill be making to large of gains) which would be double my weight, is that real bad? Im hoping that im able to put up over 400 on the bench for this comp, which would put my total around 730ish is that respectable.
