I went to Mayfair yesterday after work to pick up some cigars from my dealer and every now then I hear a loud revving noise and something bright colored wizes past. Now Ramadan is over in the Middle East, with temperatures reaching 50 degrees they ship over their cars and re-open their £30mil+ London crash pads and shop til they drop for the next month or so.

With London traffic as it is, it probably looks like filming for "The Slow And the Sunni".

from all the places I've been, london has the most extravagant cars.
I came out of there desensitized. few cars make me turn my head thereafter.

Same thing happened when I first moved to Irvine, here in Orange County.

I see Maserati's and want to ask if they need some spare change, because they are obviously hurting. My neighbor has a phantom.

And guess what... a god damned arabs driving them.

Yes I remember, with some bitter, stiff upper lipped west Londoners complaining. I don't think us brits should complain about tourists, brits behave worse than animals when abroad.

Then again, if they weren't so rich they wouldn't have all these "Bugatti" problems

I struggle to sympathise.

I did meet a couple of overly friendly Arabs on a night out here and there, sometimes when I grow my beard and look more Moorish than usual they ask where I'm from...etc. I remember one guy in his mid 20's, a suave looking Arab from Kuwait had a table full of girls and a bucket of drinks almost the size of a bath tub, and kept coming over to chat to me and kept staring at my upper chest as I was wearing a low V-neck....half an hour later they ordered some scary looking magnum bottles and lo and behold sent one to our table...I felt this was a bit too much, may be it was Arab generousity or may be there was a bit of schmoeing going on.

As the night drew to a close he asked us to come to an after party, which I said I'll consider and gave me his card...etc and we had a hetero/friendly good bye hug. I never went to that place for his after party as we were absolutely thrashed and headed home with one finish girl and one polish girl.

I was in Knightsbridge today and saw loads of these assholes. they are assholes cos they are richer than me, have better car(s) than me etc
