I had the chance to come across a story told to me from reliable sources.
I am not going to name names with whom is involved, but what happened was that there was an NPC competitor with great promise who won a show similar to the Mid-Atlantics but before he was to go on to the USA's he was approached by Weider. At a meeting that included Joe Weider, another youth and what seemed to be the "Blade"... Old Joe saw promise in him and told him .. hey listen we are going to set you up with doctors to monitor your steroid usage and what not so that everything runs smoothly and you are "healthy" but for us to start we need something along the lines of 30 grand or so.. (I wasnt clear on the figure. ) But here is the kicker.... If YOU DONT HAVE THE $$$ there is some guy that will front/sponsor your journey, however you need to pose for him in the nude while he "take cares of himself". After that was said the source of the story got up and walked out of the meeting and bodybuilding as a whole.
Do you guys think that this is true ?? I can tell you that my sources are not one s to lie ... but im just bring the issue to light ..

....of course I got it...and I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for that pesky Weider and his meddling!

..however, I just can't accept these 'truths' you're spilling.  In essence, what you're saying is that Weider was implicated in gay for pay, which in essence is sexual harrassment.  In this day and age, with the money Weider has, ONE of those bodybuilders of which you spoke could have made more money in the courts than he EVER would competing by simply bugging himself and record the evidence.

As far as one of 'the list', I suppose that since he pawned himself to the highest bidder, that's a choice he personally made.  I'm sure some of the guys out there without the bucks it takes to compete (but with the potential) could do that, I don't know...I'm sure it does.

But you implication is that WEIDER was a kingpin of sorts, or that the IFBB condones this activity. 

Of all activities out there, I'd wager bodybuilding takes the most amount of 'hetro-ness' for the simple reason that yes, you ARE watching mostly naked men on stage pose...you have to be pretty confident in your sexuality to be a fan. 

Here's a quick check just in case the majority of you out there can't figure it out....as yourself, "Self?....am I sexually turned on by these guys on stage?"...if the answer is YES then you're MOST LIKELY GAY.

If, however, like myself, you say NO to that question, then you're not..however, you'll have to put up with stupid questions and comments from just about every fat slob out there (who has NO idea of the hard work, commitment and drive it takes to be a pro bodybuilder) about "why you're into watching greased up tanned men prance on stage".

Improbable. Jackson & OJ were/are clearly unstable. Most, exercising reasonable logic, are not going there given the considerable downsides.

If Joe really wanted to go this route he'd hire no-names that weren't involved with contests. You've provided no basis for him to mix business & pleasure.
