Areas with the highest tax brackets can afford to pay their police force and they have way less crime.   What crime they do have is likely to be minor infractions in comparison to the types of crimes that occur in high crime areas.  Less crime alone explains faster response time.   In a high crime areas, more crime means the police are being stretched further and response time will be longer

yep yep... but police don't adapt resources to ensure identical response time.

They *could* assign 10% of the cops to rich areas, and 90% of cops to poor areas, and everyone would get a 3 minute response time.

obviously, they dont do that lol...

This wouldn't work because it assumes that crime occurs in rich and poor areas at the same time and that in all cases the same police departments police both poor and rich areas.  Placing 10% of the cops in rich areas would be a waste of resources because most of the time the police officers would be doing nothing.

yeah, IMO race has very little to do with "how long the cops take to show up".

Cause if someone is breaking into lebron's mansion, the police will be there in 2 minutes flat.
If someone is breaking into my 1992 trailer in North Fort myers, police take 45 minutes to send a car by to help my white ass.

nothing to do with race - the areas with highest tax bracket get faster response, that's how it works, always has, always will.

Yes, it's tax bracket / credit rating of peace.

BayBGM knows it, the Police knows it.

Totally depends which race you're addressing.

In b4 the classic Why should MY tax dollars fund police for poor people who are too lazy to work as hard as I do?

"This is Ground Zero": Ferguson Remembers Mike Brown on 3rd Anniversary of His Killing
The Root ^ | August 9, 2017 | by Breanna Edwards

On Tuesday night, more than two dozen people gathered near the spot where Michael Brown Jr. was gunned down three years ago on Aug. 9, 2014, to mourn and remember the 18-year-old whose life was taken from him and to reconstruct a makeshift memorial in the spot where he died.

“We can never forget this,” activist Meldon Moffitt told a group residents and other community activists as they stood on the site. “This is ground zero.”

Mike’s death sparked months of protests and served as the catalyst to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that those who came out laid down teddy bears, lit candles and other tokens in the street where Mike was shot and killed by then-officer Darren Wilson, constructing a memorial to replace past makeshift memorials, not far from a bronze plaque was installed to mark the site in 2015.

“I’m really delighted to see people come out here, it shows they haven’t forgotten,” Moffitt added, according to the Post-Dispatch. “As long as we support each other, all these lives — Mike Brown, Isaiah Hammett, Kajieme Powell, all of them — will be remembered.”

"gunned down"

"whose life was taken from him"

I think the author of this ridiculous article should either do a little research into the criminal Mike Brown or learn to tell the truth somewhat. The more the BLM narrative moves away from the truth, the less credible (if that is even possible) its message gets.

M Brown was a fat street ghetto thug - if not taken out for his armed robbery - he would have cost of millions in jailing, lawsuits, welfare, food stamps, pregnancies with fat bitches in the hood etc.

Good riddance fat loser.

BLM got its wish. The cops of backed off and now you're seeing the results. Of course, the liberal media can't admit it and are continually looking for other reasons but the truth is obvious.

"Even the data on one of the most obvious possible causes—a sudden shift in policing tactics—offers little clarity. Street stops had been in steady decline since early 2014, when they peaked at 80,000 stops per month. By October 2015, they reached 60,000 per month and then plummeted sharply to 10,000 stops by December 2015. At first glance, that would seem to correlate with the sudden surge of in 2016."

No, fuckholes, It offers a shitload of clarity. Aggressive policing is the only way to keep these areas in line.

Yeah, lets compare the real ground zero where thousands died, to one thug who was shot and killed.

They're getting what they deserve. They bitched and moaned about the cops and now, because of out of control violence, they're in a position where they have to ask for more police.

God, looking over this makes me so grateful that blowhard 240 doesn't post anymore. Guy was so opinionated and his opinions were ALWAYS wrong. Every fucking time. There was just no talking to him. In his mind he was the most rational, level headed poster here. Hope he never comes back.... oh yeah and fuck that fat piece of disgusting shit Michael Brown too.

The bottom line is nothing changed because there was nothing to change.  Police are still doing their jobs and there will be black guys shot by white cops in the future.  Its inevitable. Statistically speaking though, blacks being killed by police officers happens so infrequently per capita it shouldn't even be considered a problem.  Certainly not systemic in any way.  BLM never had a real true reason to exist which is why it blew away like a fart in the wind.  Very stinky for a short period of time, then nothing.
