shoot was legal. But just like zimmerman, the cop put himself into such a situation...
He was a drama queen (I thought the next punch would kill me) with his 2 mild bruises from the other 2 punches. zimm was bleeding at least.
He was out of breath. He sprinted 150 feet and had zero physical options remaining aside from shooting.
He didn't call for backup - He fired and didn't call in the shots fired, didn't call in cop injured, etc.
He was angry - handled it on his own, didn't call it in. Face was hurting from facing a "demon".
The cop shouldn't be charged - but his superiors should realize he ain't cut out for street work and move him to an office. He created this situation by not calling in backup against an overwhelming physical threat, and throwing off bullets at 25 feet in a crowded area with his head ringing and lungs pumping hard.
Brown deserved the bullets. But the cop could and should have handled it way better. Call for backup, you're hurt. And that last bullet, ooh, we'll never know there.
