This thread has derailed into the ever winding rabbit hole of "240 vs everyone else", "240's new script for a Mike Brown inspired movie vs everyone else", and  "well, black people..."...
We've lost sight of the fact that these events are probably a big lead up to something else. And it shows, a glaring issue---with our nation. Our nation is falling apart. It's been said that the AA community is a canary in the cave for the rest of the nation. A barometer of what may come and what is happening.

Not only will the police forces will be more highly militarized, but you may see more growth in the police state mentality. And the public feeling more despondent, and less trusting of the police. Also, more seething tension between AA communities and police. Patching this up, is a almost a fool's errand.

everyone on the right wants to say it's all the evil kid, and the cop did everything perfectly.

Truth is in the middle.  Cop didn't call in a gunfight and did claim he was possibly going to die after another punch.  The pics of his face were less than brutal.  Could be a situation where we have a wimpy cop who is built for desk work, and an idiot felon that needed to be shot.
