I've noticed this cultural disconnect as well.  My work has a lot of Canadians.  I think they don't understand that there are people in the world who are not afraid of hurting or even killing people because prison isn't that much of a step down from their current living situation.

Yeah, its odd. It's something I'd expect from Swedes but there are some bad bad places in Canada too, and some of their brews are almost as bad as ours

After a ghetto brew stuck a gun in our neighbors face outside their house a few days back (nd tried to get his 22 year daughter into the house at gunpoint) my wife still doesn't seem to understand the kind of filth that lives here

Their only interaction with brews is Sunday Night Football or reruns of the Cosby show.

Many on Getbig don`t get it either.  Most who don`t are from Canada or the UK or the West Coast/Midwest/Far North where the brews are 0.02 percent to 0.00001 percent of the demographics.  Its funny really.

Have you noticed that these middle or upper class liberal white guilt folks who support these thugs the most seem to have the least amount of contact with them?

she came down recently and I drove her past the housing project next to BART at midnight to get In and Out, there were about 20 brews being handcuffed after a gang shooting

still didn't get the message across. Some people need to actually have a gun stuck in their face (like our next door neighbors did last weekend unfortunately) before they 'get' what ghetto brews are really like

My father in law on the other hand says things like 'Don't waste my tax money on after school programs, just put them right in jail' and 'Hitler wasn't all bad', which makes for some amazingly entertaining family get togethers

I think the media indoctrination plus like Adonis says, the lack of exposure to bad brews makes them naive and assume the best of people

My first night in Toronto I was walking to get something to eat when a young brew went running past making a big circle to avoid me. I'm thinking 'wtf?' when a white couple run around the building yelling 'stop him! he got my purse!' - and there went my illusions about Canada.

Are they PURPOSELY letting it get out of hand there, to gain public sympathy and turn them against idiot protesters?

You pull this wild shit in wash, DC and they ship you to GITMO.  You pull this shit in SW Florida, and 4 cops beat you and pin weed charges on you, even if you don't smoke.  

They let riots go on for a few days, controlled in areas they don't give a shit about, and VOILA, the ferguson PD are victim/heroes all over again, and people see the crowd as violent idiots.  

It's something to think about.  Only a fcking idiot would say "they wouldn't do that".  Cause police do far shadier shit on a daily basis, and we all know it.   They just might "not use full enforcement/dispersal for 48 hours" in order to get the nation on THEIR side.  Half the idiots get their selfies and leave, ,CNN grows bored and leave, they can beat/arrest the hardcore ones that don't leave for turkey day.

The mayor of Ferguson tried to reach the Governor last night to get the national Guard involved...couldn't seem to get ahold of him.   Since the governor is the only person with the authority to actually deploy the guard...this was viewed by many as a problem...like maybe the gov should make sure his cell is charged during times of civil unrest or leave an emergency number so he can be reached to...you know..do his fucking job.
