Its actually all oversized and very large.  You are very poor at judging proportions.

Always liked this guy , someone positive for young trainers to aspire to. Brains brawn and looks , and a societal contributor. Totally different from this modern bodybuilding phenomenon of parasitic meatheads and deviants.

I guess I'm in the minority but the physiques were better then. Looked like real muscle instead of bloat.

I believe Draper had severe alcohol problems at one point. He always trained though. I have no respect for pros who compete and then have no use for training.  Draper trained decade after decade for the love of it.

Perhaps my favorite picture of him, and one of if not the greatest inspirations of my entire life in physical culture.  Reeves is way up there and Park too.  So are the Oak and Zane but the Bomber is number one for me.  My mom used to tell me we were related (we are not) just to inspire me.  I met him nearly forty years ago and while we are similar in appearance he was so much "more".

A fine gentleman and a better man in many ways than I shall ever be.  His wife Laree is as much a blessing to him as he is to her.

This. Guy who owned the first gym I went to was an absolute monster. 6'3 and just a hair at 300 pounds cut up. First time I saw someone and went "oh, THAT'S what steroids can do". He got busted for selling recreational drugs and steroids. Dumbass was selling not only steroids, but pain pills and ecstasy. Anyways...

He stopped using and never trained again. He didn't even TRY to train natural. He went from fad to fad trying to figure out how to make money training people (since he lost ALL his BB clients...). Well, he started a crossfit box. He just teaches, doesn't do anything other than show people what to do. This was back in 2000-2001, way before crossfit was widely known. I remember him telling me the gist of crossfit, telling me a sample WAD, and me going "...that sounds retarded". And then he smiled and went "yeah, but the people doing it don't care". Dude knew crossfit was/is bullshit but he recognized it for being able to take away people's money.

If most of his friends are bodybuilders then it's probably a pretty good idea to do it that way.

Almost all steroid dealers sell other recreational drugs to get high. I have never heard of a pure steroid dealer.

There was a time in the 70s when this style was quite popular.

I guess everyone has different tastes but I always thought his stuff was amazing. It is built oversize and not for midgets.  The talk back in the day was how heavy the stuff was that he made. Arnold had a bed that Draper made.
