The most of my friends are split. mainly due to loyalty to the Crown. the Biggest Argumentation from pro independent Scotland is our very Rich Oil Fields. Cameron, our prime Minister was seen recently having "Quite" talks in Scotland about the Oil Fields. Cameron is a shame to the whole UK.

I did a little digging and came to the following conclusion:

I still haven't a clue what way I will be voting. I still want the Queen to be the Queen of Scotland just like she is Queen to the commonwealth countries including Canada, Australia and all the rest.

The currency is the big issue. If we share the pound with the remaining UK then we will be tied to the same interest rates and tax bands as the UK so we will not have true fiscal and monetary independence.

The second issue is the fact that most Scots are employed in public sector jobs which attract the typical lazy public servants with their generous pensions and sick pay entitlement. There are far too few entrepreneurial Scots staying in Scotland with the drive and ambition to put our natural resources (mainly oil reserves) to good use.

We are a bit of a lazy nation to be honest which is a shame considering that Scots have invented pretty much everything in the world for the past few centuries.

If I had more faith in the ability of those in Scottish government then I would be more confident.

One thing is for sure though. The English government do not want Scotland to leave. This is why they are saying that Scotland cannot use the bank of England pound if we go independent. Pure scare tactic. The bank of England is a private bank who can allow anyone to use the pound (it was founded by a Scotsman).  There is no way the bank of England will refuse to allow Scotland to use the pound because Scotland's GDP per head of population will be much higher then the rest of the UK. Prime Minister Cameron the fud knows that without Scotland the remaining UK will be economically weakened. Otherwise, why is he so keen for us to stay?

Pound per pound, the only group that can compare are the dutch, but they faded just before the industrial revolution.
