Sometimes I wonder how guys like Dillett, Prince, Cormier etc feel now that they've lost all their size.
Must really suck having to go from having such an incredible build where everyone is in awe and gives you second looks to just looking like your average bum.
Pretty sure they must be suffering (or suffered) some strong depression.
It is depressing listening to them. They seem lost. Lost in many ways. Lost in memories of 'what was...'
Their bodies have never returned to a 'normal' operational capacity by any means. Neither have their minds.
There is a lesson to be learned there.
If you have spent a lifetime around bodybuilders, being one yourself, but deciding NOT to push the limits, but yet constantly hanging with those who do, you will now, at this point in life see what the excess has done to them physically, mentally, spiritually and socially.
Its not a laughing matter.
The worst part is watching the young guys headed down the same highway at full speed. They dont care about the repercussions.
Tomorrow seems so far away... and then suddenly "POOF!"... tomorrow is upon you, and you are not feeling so hot. You can't function normally and you know it, but you still try, because you do remember the attitude you once had.
A dichotomy or sorts I suppose.
Nothing in this life seems to come without repercussions. The question is; will the repercussions be tolerable?
In the fitness industry....it's getting to the point of ... "I think I'd rather drive a truck..."
