Doesn't matter.  Get out of the road and go about your business.

I'm sure he would have, ...had he not been shot & killed by Wilson

*facepalm*

Yes, im aure thats exactly how it happened... the angelic young 18 yr old kid with his whole world ahead of him was just skipping merrily down the middle of the street when the evil officer came up, screamed at him to get out of the road and then instantly shot him dead while cackling with glee.

Then the officer proceeded to punch himself in the face over and over to simulate injury so that he  ould claim the 'kid' assaulted him.

I mean its just so obvious, how could anyone question it?

Yes but everyone is so hung up on race that they can't see past skin colour.

BINGO!!!

Who made it a race thing?

It started off a small community demanded answers in the death of a teenaged boy at the hands of police.
A son of ferguson was shot and killed by a police officer who did not even call it in.
Instead, his dead body was left out on the road to bake in the sun for hours on end.
Dispatch contacting Ferguson police have no knowledge of the shooting. According to them everything A-OK?
Can you not see how a community would not want answers as to how this occurs?
Then police refuse to even release the name of the police officer involved in the shooting.
Instead, a Ferguson cop releases a false racist narrative, and a fake pic supposedly of the deceased, when in fact it was a suspected murderer, claiming this to be the deceased?
Then a peaceful demonstration demanding accountability is met with storm troopers & illegal chemical weapons? The media didn't create the story. They were a part of it. They too were tear gassed, fired upon, and had their lives threatened. Of course the people of that small town would be protesting, ...and yes, you're going to see alot of Blacks there. They comprise 70% of the population of that town. the police of Ferguson are 100% white. So, basic demographics will tell you that if a town with 70% Black population is protesting, and demanding accountability of a police force that is 100% white, small minded individuals will see that as a Black vs. White thing. And law abiding people, not wanting to "betray their race" are going to overlook all the issues concerning the police, and rally around this cop and inept police dept that has clearly messed up. At this point, Michael Brown has become a non-issue, but he has become a rallying point around which people have come together to demand answers and address issues. One of those issues is the militarization of the police, the heavy handedness of police, the lack of accountability of police when shooting young Black males, as well as the harassment of Black males, law abiding or otherwise.

The Cops screwed this whole thing up from the get go, ...and escalated it and made it worse every step of the way. Now numerous issues with law enforcement are coming to the forefront.

Why do you guys feel so compelled to make shit up? I doubt Wilson cackled.
As for his injuries, my guess is that it could have happened from the car door, but who knows?
He could have had someone punch the shit out of him to simulate injuries for which he could claim a justified shoot. Do we know where he was during the hours when Brown was left to bake in the sun?  ;)

Maybe it was the Police Chief who whooped him? I could see that:

POW, "You motherfu**er! POW, Stand still and take it! BOOM!
I need to get re-elected in this town Goddammit, POW
...and this is gonna get you exonerated, so quit flinching! POW!

I could see it.  :P

Coach, Thank you for being such a mensch.  :-*

Below is a recent email from my friend Charles:

WHEN YOU "FIT THE DESCRIPTION"!

It’s one of those things that you hear about, but never think it would happen to you.

On Friday afternoon, August 22nd around 5:20pm, while innocently walking by myself from a restaurant on Wilshire Blvd, to my car up LaCienega Blvd my freedom was taken from me by the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Within seconds, I was detained and told to sit on the curb of the very busy street, during rush hour traffic.
Within minutes, I was surrounded by 6 police cars, handcuffed very tightly, fully searched for weapons, and placed back on the curb.

Within an hour, I was transported to the Beverly Hills Police Headquarters, photographed, finger printed and put under a $100,000 bail and accused of armed bank robbery and accessory to robbery of a Citibank.

Within an evening, I was wrongly arrested, locked up, denied a phone call, denied explanation of charges against me, denied ever being read my rights, denied being able to speak to my lawyer for a lengthy time, and denied being told that my car had been impounded…..All because I was mis-indentified as the wrong “tall, bald head, black male,” ... "fitting the description."

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know at the time that I was a law abiding citizen of the community and that in my 51 years of existence, had never been handcuffed or arrested for any reason. All they saw, was someone fitting the description. Doesn't matter if he's a "Taye Diggs BLACK", a "LL Cool J BLACK", or "a Drake BLACK"

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know that I was an award nominated and awarding winning business professional, most recently being recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal at their Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards. They didn't need to because, they saw someone fitting the description.

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know that I was a well educated American citizen that had received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Indiana University (including a full Consortium Fellowship to business school) and an Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard Business School. Hey, I was "tall", "bald", a "male" and "black", so I fit the description.

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know that I was a Consultant for the NAACP, a film and tv producer, a previous VP of Marketing for a wireless application company, VP of Integrated Promotions for a marketing agency, ran Community Affairs for the Atlanta Hawks, was the Deputy Director of Olympic Village Operations for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, was a Test/Quality/Mfg Engineering Manager for IBM and was a Bond Trader on Wall street. Surely, folks that fit the description wouldn't qualify as any of those.

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know that throughout my entire life I have been very active in serving the communities that I have lived in, including Chapter President and National PR Chair for NSBE, a USC Student Senator, a USC Trojan Knight, a USC Engineering Student Council Member, a USC Black Students Council Member, and a Resident Assistant; as well as a founding board member of the RTP NBMBAA, a member of Durham County Transportation Advisory Board, Durham City / County Planning Commission, Atlanta House of Love for the Homeless Board, Cobb County Transportation Advisory Board, Georgia CASA Board, United Way of Greater Atlanta VIP Selection Committee, Jomandi Theater Board, Silver Lake Film Festival Board, Downtown LA Film Festival Board, Chaka Khan Foundation Fundraising Dinner Committee, and the USC Black Alumni Association Board. Nawl, not a "black male", especially a "tall, bald" one.

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know that just hours earlier, I was at one of the finest hotels in their city, handling celebrity talent at a Emmy Awards Gifting Suite, as part of business as usual, and, invited to attend a VIP Emmy pre-party that very night in their city. The guy doing that, just DON"T fit the description.

What I don’t get………WHAT I DON”T GET, is, why, during the 45 minutes that they had me on the curb, handcuffed in the sun, before they locked me up and took away my civil rights, that they could not simply review the ATM and bank’s HD video footage to clearly see that the “tall, bald headed, black male”… did not fit MY description.

Why, at 11:59pm (approximately 6 hours later), was the video footage reviewed only after my request to the Lead Detective for the Beverly Hills Police Department and an FBI Agent to do so, and, after being directly accused by another FBI Special Agent of “…going in and out of the bank several times complaining about the ATM Machine to cause a distraction…” thereby aiding in the armed robbery attempt of a bank that I never heard of, or ever been to; and within 10 minutes……10 MINUTES, my lawyer was told that I was being release because it was clear that it was not me.

The sad thing is, prior to my freedom being taken from me for an easily proven crime I did not commit, I was walking back to my car, by myself, because I needed to check my parking meter, so that I wouldn’t get a ticket and break the law. In fact, if it wasn’t for a text message that I was responding to, I would have actually been running up LaCienega Blvd when the first Beverly Hills Police Officer approached me. Running!

I want to thank GOD, Robin Lola Harrison of the NAACP Hollywood Bureau, Robert Dowdy and Attorney Jaaye Person-Lynn , without whom, I am certain that I would still be locked up in the custody of the Beverly Hills Police Department. Based on comments made by a Beverly Hills Police Officer during my booking, and an FBI Special Agent, it appeared that they had tried and convicted me.

To everyone, especial black males (regardless of height, hair style or particular shade of "black") - [numerous names redacted]  etal, - I have always stayed as far away from being on the wrong side of the law as much as possible; so please, be careful. If something like this can happen to ME, it can certainly happen to ANYONE!

Time has come for a change in the way OUR law enforcement officers "serve and protect" us.

We all do not, FIT THE DESCRIPTION.

Peace and Blessings...

I don't know if a Black guy did it. From what I could gather, they believe a Black man complaining about a malfunctioning ATM machine was an accomplice to whoever robbed the bank. But based on their "policework" It wouldn't surprise me if their supposed accomplice was just an irate man complaining about a malfunctioning ATM machine.

A similar thing happened to 240, ...except in 240's case, he DID fit the description right down to the very same tattoo on his forearm, ...and a young toddler in the car. In 240's case however, the officer showed some common sense, and checked out 240's identity, and let him go. He didn't haul him into the station, arrest, photograph, fingerprint him, and set his bail at $100K all while refusing to read him his rights, or allow him his phone call, or deny him an attorney.

In Charles case, his description was "Black, tall, male bald".
With that cops arrest and try him at the side of the road?
How safe would any of you guys be, if the BOLO was White, short, male, bald?
Pretty all encompassing isn't it?

Charles was denied his rights, his lawyer was also denied access to his client.
Jaaye had to remind the lieutenant he could be charged for keeping him from Charles.
Jaaye and his girlfriend had been anticipating Tiffany's wedding for months, and they immediately had to leave the ceremony to go to Charles' defense, only to see his civil rights violated, while already in custody no less... when simple forethought and competent police work could have immediately determined they had the wrong man. The whole lot of them, in addition to wrongful arrest, should be charged with civil rights violations, and obstruction of justice.

I'm saying the support & solidarity for the citizens of Ferguson isn't about race, it is about accountability of police for what they do. In the process of demanding accountability, many issues are coming to the fore, including the way Police handle people of colour. They lack proper discernment, and that is a problem.

When will you hold the thieves accountable. Could be that blacks don't have the ability to discern.

This is what the authors found in a study of 209 black and 125 white applicants for the job of fire fighters, who were tested with the 16-item Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale. Whites scored significantly higher than blacks at 6.41 (Sd 0.51) than blacks (6.14 (Sd 0.81), with the difference equal to approximately a third of a standard deviation (d = .32)

No worries, be yourself, I say.  Props for using the vernacular of a school girl if that's how ya really feel.

But hey, don't let me derail the thread as if it had just devolved into some racist trolling or something.

What were you saying about the possibility that blacks are innately inferior again?  LOL

Yeah, it may well be that you'd prefer a board filled with sycophantic endorsements of the pap that you spew but it's weak of you and just plain dishonest to accuse anyone of stalking you because you get called out for posts that reek of racist trolling.

If you haven't been trolling, though, and you really believe what you've been writing, then back it up.  The flame-war drama won't be missed by many, I don't think.

Or, continue to act a troll and disregard the thread topic since you now have the attention that every troll desperately wants.

You still haven't proven I'm a pro-rape misogynist.  You should back that up first.  You've had many chances. You made the accusation, backed off when challenged and then start spewing the accusation again.  That makes you a coward who doesn't have enough personal integrity and conviction to stand by his comments.   You folded and that makes you the weak one.  Doesn't it?

What am I saying that is racist?  What about it is racist?  Come on, give it a try.

You trying to say that we can't both be weak?  LOL

Look, I take back my pro-rape misogynist accusation.  It may have been completely wrong and, in any case, was made prematurely without enough evidence.  So, I apologize.  (Probably, in the interest of accuracy, I should have just made a comment about your post being insensitive -- if I said anything.)

C'mon, Archer, you are familiar enough with what others think to realize that when you start positing that blacks may be innately mentally inferior it will be interpreted as racist writing, aren't you?

If not, please give me your definition (from anywhere) as to what objectionable racism is to you and I'll make an effort to really answer your question.
