The majority of people here don't give a shit about the Olympia...its just something to talk about between the laughs, banter, and straight shit talking.

Most here lift or exercise and that is what brings us here together on the forum. The bbing industry(which includes shows and contestants) simply subsidizes the cost of our thunderdome. No industry...no thunderdome.

But yeah, other than that, I don't see a problem admiring another mans physique. I like Arnolds chest. So what? Doesn't make me gay.

Just take soccer for an example. Overweight fat guys gulping one beer down after another, never stood on a soccer field, watch the soccer world championship and when their team wins they shout out "WE WON !!!". If their team fails, they call them overpaid assholes.

I guess most people who are interested in BB work out, not on a competition level, but at least they are more fit than people related to other sports.

you clearly havent seen some of the photos of those who follow it.

To answer No One's question, I don't follow men's bodybuilding anymore.

Ofcourse I can't help but to get the latest BB news from Getbig anyway  :D

I still have a little interest in who wins the Olympia, mainly because that sets up the whole next year with material for Getbig.

I stopped believing the "Flex magazine hype" many years ago. I registered on Getbig when I was 22.

Now, I am here for the laughs, the news, and the posters I have come to like over the years.

It's that simple.

so i have noticed a trend here where untrained individuals, out of shape individuals, and other such non active people argue, debate and defend their 'favourite' pro bodybuilder.

do you guys not find it just a little bit fucking weird that your arguing over a bunch of oiled up muscle men who pose wearing a fucking speedo?

You should ask yourself this question. Since you feel the way you do about bodybuilding, one wonders why you bother posting on a bodybuilding forum.

bbing is not a sport.

take the drugs out of it and whats left? nothing. pro bbing without drugs would be extinct.

take the drugs out of any sport- cycling- football- baseball-  its still a sport.

take the drugs out of pro bbing and it becomes a sideshow that isnt even worth watching for those who follow it.

sport. c'mon man. lets see who has the greatest response and tolerance to anabolic compounds, herd them all up onstage in oil and a speedo and have them 'pose' for 10 minutes huffing and puffing cause its too exerting. lol a lot of skill involved in that.

some sport. its embarassing you'd even call it that.

Take the drugs out of it and they would still be the worlds best crafted bodies. Thats if the drugs were gone completely all across the board but now were fantasizing.

If you cant see the sacrifice and dedication and admire a well sculpted body then stick to your board shorts and anorexic calorie intake.

And so what if I'm not 230 with abs yet still post on the forum. As long as I'm training, making progress and have goals that's all that matters to me.

sorry dude, im not about to admire anyones 'well sculped body' anytime soon. i give props where props are due. admire? who the fuck admires another grown mans body?

and i'll be happy to stick to my board shorts while you parade yourself in front of an audience teeming with guys. keeping thinking what your doing is special. it isnt.

Come on big ro! U of all people should know that if u took the drugs outta of pro bbing it's nothing , and they wouldn't have the best crafted body in the world

Natural and enhanced is a complete diff ball game , from my experience there are guys who have trained natural and look amazing, jumped on drugs , made decent gains , then there are those who looked like nothing training natural and then made crazy gains in steroids .

It's all about genetic response and tolerance , nothing more. Not talking food and training that is

cause i like to train. is that hard for you to understand?

you think bbing = competing? no it means being in the gym smashing the weights and pushing yourself to be better than you were yesterday. no matter who you are, where you live, the colour of your skin, or your religion its the thing that bonds us all. not the grotesquerie that is pro bbing.

I remember buying gummi bears and chocolate milk, because T-Nation said that it was a decent mass builder for an ectomorph  :-X

I bought a Shawn Ray video, a couple countdown to the Olympia videos, and one of Ronnies vids.

That was when I was in full cult mode. Taking the "good" pro hormones, watching my body change, sweating my ass off in the garage listening to Rob Zombie.

Brings back great memories. But I grew out of it. I learned what it takes to reach that level, and I am not willing to go that far.

I still enjoy the whole lifting, and getting fit aspect. I am just in a little rut right now.

Nothing beats doing cardio/lifting while listening to your favorite music. When you are serious, it almost puts you in a trance-like, state of mind.

You guys make fun of me, but I have been there before.

Are you implying competitors don't train?

I have no interest in competing. I still train. I admire folks who have the gumption to compete. At the risk of seeming like the old dude that I am, I prefer the look of some of the pros of times past, when most bodybuilders had muscular it which seem obtainable to the average person and without having to take a boatload of drugs and sopplements.

lol I had to read it twice and still couldn't find the parallel he's talking abt.

anyway I don't what this to degenerate into an anti bbing campaign az I'm sure we can all agree we love to train.

what I am curious abt is why so many heterosexual dudes care abt muscley white and black guys in thongs.

maybe it's just me. maybe I'm the one who's fucked for not thinking it's normal for predominately straight white men to bicker over how a guy who fucks grapefruit and watermelon is going to place in this thong-war.

just the fact there's a demand for that type of shit should tell you guys how fucked up and weird it is.

how the fuck can you even be a 'fan' of that? notice how they kind of behaviour goes unpunished by the IFBB? your smart guys. ask yourself why.

that shit in any pro sport would get you suspended or banned and ostracized by the public. not in 'pro bodybuilding'. it's accepted. why? because that's why pro bbing exists- for muscle worship.

then a bunch of straight guys sit around and argue abt which of their favourite bbers got better bodyparts. lol

Ok let's get real......bb is a sport and it's a beauty pageant and it's a carnival freakshow.

I've tried to get friends to train with me for years but they have no interest because they can't win anything and they would rather exercise playing basketball.

Kai's antics outside bodybuilding are not relavant to bodybuilding competition.
