That's right after nearly 20 years Lou Ferrigno is back on the cover of this month's Flex mag.

Smart move to rest Arnold for few months...

A bodybuilding cover 100 % midget free for once,

And if this cover does not sell.... I don't know Which one could.

WoooSSHHH  big dude, all the way big dude.

Lou was close to 330 pounds in that Flex cover pic (circa 1993).

His structure is so much bigger than dillet's  Huge Head & hands on Louie,

One Big Man. could & should of stayed and won the Olympia.

He could have won the Mr.O 10 times 1976-85' EASILY  and still retire at age 33 before hitting his peak !

And to think Ronnie won his first Mr.O  at 34 !!!

In the editorial, they list Lou Ferrigno’s weight at 316 in the 1992 Olympia, then in the feature article he’s listed at 325. I recall contemporary reports putting it at more like 290s. Either way, weight never mattered, so it’s still strange to try and inflate it.

On the Olympia videos, Lou is listed at 295 at the '92 Olympia and 316 at the '93 Olympia.

Hardly! He would have been a fool to turn down the Hulk role. That has made him more of a legend than being Mr. Olympia. Heck, even Arnold wanted that role and Lou beat him out for it.

Lou, was a very good athlete, he competed in the Superstars and WSM back in the late 70's and did very well.

According to an as always immodest Ferrigno in this issue of Flex, he would have won 8 or 10 Olympias had he continued to compete. I suspect he might have won a few, but he's pushing it with a run like that. In any case, I agree, he made the right choice. He's still just as much a bodybuilding legend and he got to be a recognizable actor for the rest of his life. It's not like any other Olympia winner other than Arnold is recognizable in any way outside of bodybuilding fans, and we all know why he's famous.

^True, my mum knows who Arnold and Ferigno is...but she has no idea who Frank Zane is.

Of all recent bodybuilders she only knows Kai Greene, cos I showed her the grape fruit video once.

And with Zane (and some other bodybuilders), he's recognized more for being Mr. Universe, not Mr. Olympia (I.e. When Zane endorsed the Torso Trak machine).

Too late. Arnold was on March's cover.

As for "midgets", Zack Khan was on April's front page and Mamdouh Elssbiay was on that of May.

Nobody calls them "midgets".

Lous build was phenominal back in the day. In some pictures he looked flawless. However once on stage this was not the case. His posing routones and build onstage just di not hold up. All this coulda shoulda woulda is just speculation. No matter whom speaks it or said it in print form. It never happened andi doubt it ever would. He had no charisma on stage and his build lacked that boom quality when posing. So no to the so called ten year run. ARNOLD yes. He already had six in a row why not ten. Lou would never have beaten Arnold.
