and do you believe the earth is actually round?

i've had my doubts

Are you high and/or drunk tonight, buddy? :)

Yes, the world is "round" inasmuch as the whole mudball is a sphere, albeit an imperfect one.

And yes, the USA landed men on Luna, a.k.a. "the Moon."  More than once.  Some chickenshit pseudo-scientists might try to convince you otherwise with blather about the Van Allen radiation belt and that whole Kubrick/"The Shining" nonsense (note:  Kubrick himself regarded the Lunar landing conspiracies as some of the lamest, most chickenshit arguments ever forwarded by man), but it's all malarkey, Halo.

Just witness how fucking desperate the anti-landing crowd are when it comes to things as small as the flag apparently "fluttering" in the Lunar "wind," where the atmosphere is barely thin enough to even count as much.  Conspiracy fans like to pretend it was a cloth flag fluttering in the wind on a sound stage ... little do they know that flag was made of a thin sheet of metal and supported by a metal wire rod that held it aloft.  "Wind" had nothing to do with it.

Generally speaking, the kind of people who deny that we went to Luna are in the same boat as the crazies who think the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks were "controlled demolitions."  Apparently they're too goddamned stupid to realize that 100,000 ton buildings tend to fall straight down because, y'know, of that pesky gravity thing.  (Then they'll invariably point to an adjacent building's collapse, one which wasn't directly hit, and claim that's a sort of Ace card  .)

A whole shitload of conspirators would do well to read a university freshmens' most basic logic textbook.  And stop listening to every idiot that sounds semi-authoritative, but a thorough understanding of those logic principles would curtail that, too.

plus the keeping it a secret with so many people involved is a vast undertaking in and of itself. the film crews needed, the staging crews, the lighting crews, the building crews. -holy fuck 1000's would have been involved in it.

but all there really has been is conspiracy- no hard fact.

Not to mention craft services. Those loose-lipped, meal-preppin' mutherfuckers would sell their souls for a nickel.

there is no way of knowing the earth is flat or round except when viewing it from space

which brings us back to the question did space travel really happen?

and are there really satellites in space or are those just some signals from masts on earth?

Don't tell me you're another im gonna have to rant at for being a fucking retard. Ever been in a plane? If you've travelled long distance you use geodesics. In other words fly in a path that curves towards the poles as the circumference of a spherical object is smaller towards the poles. Alternatively watch a ship sail over the horizon. You know, how people figured it out hundreds of years ago.

As for space ... fuck me. Yeah gps is a lie. There are no satellites. My phone just knows where I am.

Is this board just populated with spastics?

Uh oh.

If you're just entertaining yourself with the idea, have at it. If it really troubles you, this can be a symptom of something more serious going on upstairs.

Ever think you're all there is and everything you experience is imagined? 'Cause that's a biggie with certain psychoses.

actually his post ties in into reality.

how do you know your reality is real?

the people and things in your life, do they actually exist or are they constructs of your imagination?

whos to say you even exist at all? this message board- how do you know its not your own construct that you use to entertain yourself?

In no dream do you knock up a psycho one night stand and end up with a kid. Reality is worse than any dream.

Jesus another fucking write off of a retard. So they can make rockets that work in a vacuum but why can't they take off from the moon with 1/6th of earth's gravity?

To be honest we need more of these threads to weed out the fucking brainless dicks on getbig.

I probably shouldn't ask if you know about the supersonic v2 rockets used in world war 2 that were cobbled together under von braun using slave labour when germany was losing the war and all but finished. 24 years or so earlier.

man the way i see it we all live in a world the way we want to see it not how it really is,kinda like getting out of the shopwer and glancing at yourself and saying im looking leaner, only to have a pic taken of yourself at the beach that afternoon n say holy shit who the fuck is that to yourself :othat cant be me i just saw myself in the mirror this morning n looked great ;)reality can be cruel sometimes, thats why we have so many different drugs like lexapro and other anti depresents, people just cant cope the way life really is so they take medicine,im not knocking it cause if it helps that all that matters
