I have agreed to put a diet and eventually a training plan for a neighbour of mine who is very obese.
This is something i've done a ton of times for people of different sizes, but I wanted a bit of advice for this guy as he's pretty large.
58 years old, 5'11", 350 pounds - very out of shape and has to stop and catch breath even after walking 100m.
I've got his calorie intake and how we are going to approach exercise all sorted however, I just wanted a few tips in terms of the choices of foods to start him on.
'Eating what he wants, as long as he's not going over X calories per day' isn't going to work for this guy - he has a lot of eating behaviours and triggers that would fuck that up very quickly.
On the other hand, I can't start the guy too 'clean' as I think he would struggle with a drastic change - he eats very rich foods at present and loves cooking/spending money on nice ingredients.
Any help appreciated bros
