With all due respect, you are half correct. I don't train, nor go to the gym. As this comes up each year, I am not nor want to be a bodybuilder, not have been. I am a fan of bodybuilding, and have been for years. I am 6'1" and weigh about 250 pounds.
Now, that being said, I am not like I was 10 or 20 years ago, where in one day, we could go and climb Mt. Whitney from where we park the cars all the way to the top. Or hike down the Grand Canyon to the Colorado River and hike back up. Or go above the tree line up in Kings Canyon and Sequioya National park where you can actually see the Milky Way in the sky. All this with a 60 pound backpack on your back.
Even today, we still go hiking up in the local mountains here when I have time. That being the question - time. With working alot, balancing a family, and going to close to 30+ shows a year, it isnt as easy. Still, not an excuse.
Come back to me in 20 years after your arrogance of youth goes away and lets talk... that is, if you can keep up with me on my routine, which most likely you probably can't.
Or better yet... go to California, get a 60 pound backpack, climb Mt. Whitney in one day and then lets took if you could accomplish the things we did when we were younger. Oh... don't forget your permit or the ranger might fine you...
