How often do some of you guys drink alcohol? Is it becoming a problem?

I am not in trouble with the law at all. Lets just say people who cared about me, confronted me about it.

They gave me the option of  doing a program, or losing my job.

They dont offer that option to everyone.

The company I work for approaches it the same way.  You are right, they only do it for people they truly care about.

If not too personal, how did work know? Excessive absences or drinking on job? No judging, just curious. Been there, too. So, it's a specific rehab program with x amount of AAs, etc. All outpatient stuff?

Absences, friends who are higher up the ladder then I am, who I confided in.

Its really nothing serious. 16 AA meetings and an 8 week course (over the phone) with a counselor.

I also have to remain sober for an entire year (increased piss testing during that timeframe)

Did the research, and I believe the piss test they use can detect alcohol in the system for 3-5 days after.

So it is all the reason I need to stay sober. It ain't worth it.

Being required to stay sober for a year & taking piss test's to prove it or lose your job is pretty serious. You should probably keep going to meetings the entire year. If work didn't step in you would probably still be drunk.

Coke around 2x a month.

Weed once every half year or so.

Coffee daily.

Haha, it destroyed his soul. I love how indignant he became when the donations weren't forthcoming. Poor Shizzo always viewed himself as a veteran inmate. The guy who's earned his stripes here, seen it all before, and teaches the new guys how things are done. In reality, everyone else actually viewed him as the fat, bungling retard who gets tasked with showing you around on your first day at a new school and wants to become best friends. You just can't get away from him quickly enough. I do hope he's well.
