There is enough of what he actually did to attack him on....like the things i listed.

But instead too many people decided to trade in their common sense for hate fueled baseless speculation.

Take the Birther movement for example.  It helped associate the GOP with angry hateful retarded ignorant whiny morons.  

The constant whining from the right, and the stuff they whined about turned away swing voters.  Simple as that.

It costs the GOP the election that should have been a landslide.
