Tebow also did himself a disservice by refusing to be a TEAM player.
He melted down in NYJ because he wasn't given the starting job when Sanchise was out.
He REFUSED to accept the "team-first" attitude and just accept the role, as long as the team needs him.
I respect the shit out of Tebow. I would trust him as a babysitter. I cannot think of a better role model in terms of personal integrity and strength of faith. I was a huge tebow fanboy - I think I even made that "tebow MVP" post that got so much hate on getbig lol.
But I'll admit - Tebow cannot read defenses and he misses the open man frequently - Coach, I think you have to even admit these two points, right?
This is a league where even the bottom 1/3 of quarterbacks can hit a wide open man at 30 yards. Tebow could not do this consistently. He's an EXTREMELY rhythm player, and if ANYTHING goes wrong - an extra man in zone D, a blitz, a receiver hesitates for a second to lose his man - then Tebow turns into a running QB. That WORKED for a few games. But he was much slower after that first run. He didn't outrun anyone, and once he had a year of getting hit, he was running like trent Dilfer out there lol.
Coach, there are MANY examples of God-fearing religious role models getting hated on, in this day and age. This is not one of them. Tebow is a great man, but as a football player, he just doesn't have that defensive read ability, and he doesn't have that arm. I don't think ANYONE on getbig is agreeing with you here, dude. And people LOVE to shit on 240 when I'm wrong lol, if I ws wrong, they'd be all over my ass. Tebow isn't good enough to play in the NFL, and he refused to stay on a roster as a backup - he was disruptive in the media, a rather sore loser, when Mcfadden was started over him. The league realized he isn't a good sport- he will whine publicly. Not good. He could have enjoyed 3rd string status FOREVER if he just smiled and went along with the team, as every other NFL player does (or they are cut, like Ray Rice or Peterson will be).
