After 75, Arnold goes on to promote the sport, brought all kinds of mainstream publicity to bodybuilding and all these guys, who would've remained total unknowns if not for Pumping Iron, Stay Hungry and the spotlight Arnold brought to the sport.  In addition Arnold promoted the Olympia contest from 76- 79.

All these guys resented Arnold for his fame even though they're benefiting from it, they're still in his shadow. So what do they do? Zane insults Arnold on TV immediately after winning 79. Mentzer thinks it's a good idea to trash Arnold and his training style, shit talking to the magazines and anybody that will listen.... (Gee,that seems like a real smart strategy to win the show)
