Arnold cheated by stepping over the line, Arnold was demolished on the side chest pose by Mentzer, Arnold had the worst rear double bicep pose in history, Mentzer intimidated Arnold backstage, and Arnold was high on cocaine during the entire contest.

Netflix did not consider Arnold to be the winner in 1980.

Netflix did not consider Mentzer at all.

It's fairly unanimous that Coe was better than mentzer

Pretty clear that an anemic Zane is light years ahead of mentzer.

I never saw Dickerson as being all that great but even still I give him more credit than most. Here I think Dickerson has better legs than mentzer by a slim margin. Both had odd abs but Illgive the edge to mike. Neither had a great chest but Chris had more muscle in his chest but it was torn. Though in 1980 chris's chest was still symmetrical. Mentzer had good chest shape but was flat in 80. Ill say chest is even. Arms go to mike. Shoulders are also close. Chris's back was miles ahead of mike. So in 1980 Dickerson gets the nod over mike too.

Yep. Mike was a deserving 5th. My guess is walker and Callender  deserved to place higher than mike.

Probably is Callard. Either way Old School Labs is aptly named. It's shit is so weak and under dosed it poses no threat to the aging hypertensive boomer - gen xer. Its also so over priced only a boomer - gen xer could aford it.

Bodybuilding scores are rankings, having a perfect score means a judge agrees you were the best bodybuilder at that show, not that your physique is perfect. If someone that placed 2nd to 6th at the Olympia turned up at some no name backwater pro show, they'd be more or less guaranteed to get a perfect score. If someone is unanimously agreed to have the best physique in the novice category at an amateur show, they will get a perfect score. That doesn't mean 2nd to 6th at the Olympia or a random amateur has a better a physique than a Mr Olympia that won without a perfect score, it means means they were unanimously agreed to be the best at a less competitive show. And methzer didn't receive a perfect score at the 79 Olympia, he received a perfect score in the heavyweight division of the 79 Olympia, meaning some judges merely agreed he was the best heavyweight not the best overall bodybuilder. So there.

So when Mike loses it's because the judges are all corrupt and in Arnolds back pocket...when mike wins with a perfect score it's indisputable proof of his greatness. There's suddenly no mention of the judging???

I agree: Mike looked great at the USA vs. The World (thats where the pic is from. He actually looked less sharp when he got the perfect score at the universe)

This applies to many bodybuilders who cry "a fix because of politics" when they don't get their way. Yet when they do place 1st they never mention a fix or politics. A lot of bodybuilders have very fragile egos so when they don't get a placing they think theh deserve they blame politics or the judging or it was all a fix. None of thst is true. They lost because they simply weren't good enough. That's all.

methzer was delusional. He really thought he was going to beat Arnold Schwarzenegger, a genetically superior bodybuilder to the mamlet methzer, despite the fact that he couldn't even told Frank Zane. There was no way meth head was going to come in the olympia in 1980 and top both Arnold and Zane. That was just never going to happen. 4 superior bodybuilders placed before methzer and his fragile ego couldn't handle it. He breaks down and quits bodybuilding forever. He showed everybody that night what a WEAK minded person he really was. That night haunted him for the rest of his days. Instead of accepting defeat he whined about it, blaming the judges being in Arnold's back pocket and other such nonsense but never ever taking responsibility for his own failures.
