Would you be surprised ? Buy the DVD ? Non of them was fixed actually. You can see the scoresheets of both 80 and 81 and its pretty clear they weren't "fixed". Franco didn't deserve to win in 81 though.
Exactly. The scoresheet from 1980 shows that it was pretty close between Arnold, Dickerson and Zane. Arnold may have had "friends" on the judges panel but not all of them had him in first place. He won yes but by a margin.
