Dennis and Boyer probably peaked better than anyone for that show- each were in their all time best shape.

Bottom line: Arnold was at his worst but had a “relationship” with the promoter who loaded the judging panel with Arnold fan boys. Arnold was booed by the audience.

A large number of competitors boycotted the Olympia the following year.

He used to say "a calorie is a calorie' and controledl his pre contest diet by aadjusting total calorie intake only? Gorging chocolate bars and coca-cola's then starving himself and taking amphetamines to keep going. Is it any wonder that he showed up small and flat?

He's lucky he got 5th.  The amphetamines will have you feeling great despite looking like shit.

Boyer coe had a funny experience with amphetamines leading up to the 82 Olympia. Said he was working out like a maniac and had boundless energy only to step on stage his smallest ever.

He dieted on 800 calories/day leading up to the contest. The fact that he had any muscle left at all by contest time is a great testament to steroids.

Roger "angry nips" Walker was 'bummed' by Paul Graham in exchange for a guaranteed 1st place at the Sydney Olympia.

Unfortunately Arnold entered and Graham couldn't fulfill his promise to walker.

Graham explained his predicament to Arnold , who reportedly laughed at the thought of Walker getting railed for a first place victory that he'll never get. But nonetheless Arnold offered to give up a portion of his earnings- which was peanuts compared to his real estate income- to Walker. When this money was handed over, Roger opened the envelope and saw a wad of cash wrapped in a small note written on lose leaf paper. It read "quit complaining.  Everyone knows you got 6th place because you got big red utters for nipples."

This has made Roger, sometimes referred to as 'old roger', an angry, bitter man.
