Islamic State are nothing but a bunch of local warlords who were funded by the US to help fight Saddam Hussein and now have gone rogue, taking advantage of the porous northern borders of Iraq and Syria and an abundance of oil to finance their activities. They have plenty of cash and control a population already accustomed to terror by the likes of Bashar al-Assad and Saddam Hussein. So, knowing nothing but terror, it's no wonder they would so happily succumb to IE (unless you're not their cup of tea of course).

The seed of democracy is certainly NOT going to sprout there, no matter how many times we bomb them or who we put in power.

So it would follow, pre-meddling = zero terrorism. You made that statement not me.

Clearly I can see your "type" is one that struggles with reading and comprehending things. Quite surprising for someone with so many posts, but then perhaps that explains something in itself.

What I did say was

That meddling is the cause of the problem

Terrorist acts are a symptom of that problem. There is a deep seated hatred toward the west amongst some muslims and people in the middle east.

My fault, I assumed you meant what you typed. Sorry, I do this a lot. I struggle with reading and comprehending things, so I'm sure you can understand.

Seriously?

Apologist. Why you playing dumb?

All due respect.

I find the word "apologist" a bit funny.

In a very Clotaire Rapaillian way, if you want cheap oil, just go in and fucking get it. Say "I'm here for the oil, ya'll can chop each other's head off as much as you want, but 'sell' me the the oil at $5/barrel or else". That's what real men do. If you look at, for example, duels, you establish hostilities from the get go and end it with a duel. One of you dies and the other gets to live. That's what men do, at least the macho men you seem to so much adore.

I, for one, love my kids and do not mind paying $6 for a gallon of gas. If you want to pursue the macho man bullshit story, put your bundle of joy in a military uniform and send him to downtown Mosul and see how quickly your "apologist" bullshit story comes to an end.

Please understand that bravado is a sign of immaturity. You're certainly not impressing me.

Faggót!

Oil or Israel, now I'm confused. Both? Or is it Mohammad cartoons? Hmm. All? Damn. Maybe we should ask them for a list of grievances so we can live correctly, safe from their wrath. All will be fine then?

How many excuses you wanna ante up, apologist?

If we had not meddled and bombed the shit out of them for decades, and kept our borders secure and our immigration in check, we would not be dealing with this shit today. Simple as that.

This.

Don't interfere in their countries and let them run them as they wish, while preventing them immigrating here in large numbers. If this was done, there would be no problems.
Instead, the UK has done the opposite. Obviously, allowing millions of Muslims into the UK while bombing the shit out of their homelands isn't that wise an idea. :-\

The problem is that far right parties popularity is growing at a rate slower than the immigrant populations.

France of course have reep what they sew when they decided to colonize.
The thing is, at the infant stages of globalism, we all "meddle" somehow---the West needs oil, the Middle East has it. This all helps in a complex and convoluted "meddling problem". The rich guys in the Middle East want Western goods---cars, etc. Poor Middle Easterners can't afford it. They don't blame the rich guys in their countries. They blame the west. They come to the West, want a western life style, many have limited education. And many of the Europrean nations being the Socialist countries that they are, believe that they are helping said people---and bend over backwards for them. Many of said  people come from a culture that looks down upon people who are too kind, and resent the former colonists. And they refuse to assimilate or integrate into society. Many fall on hard times, lack of education, conformity and living in ghettoes.
Put all this together, and you have a very, very potent potpourri of problems.

The problem is that far right parties popularity is growing at a rate slower than the immigrant populations.

In France, European french are already a minority within the under 30 population. This means by 2050 when these under 30 population have grown up, european French will be a minority in their own country. The UK is following closely behind with similar statistics.

The cat is out of the bag, it will probably take another decade before a far right wing party will gain popularity, but by that time, this under 30 population will start to affect the voting stats, essentially the support will rise for the far right, it will peak before it can get into power, and then the majority immigrant population will dilute their votes, by supporting other parties, so they never get in.

Once immigrant populations reach a significant voting size, the wheels will fall off Europe completely!

That's also a strategy for the leftist. They import voters for themselves.

Eventually some of the european countries like France, England, Sweden will have whites as minorities in their own country.

What they the leftists are too stupid to realize is that it's the peoples that makes the counties and quality of living. Eventually the countries will regress to the same standard of living as where the immigrants came from.

Can someone defend this? What I mean is, give a reason that this is okay. I don't understand why they think this way.

I honestly don't give a shit about Israel. Why should I? Why not Tunisia? Or Bahrain? Or Oman?

The main issue is that the Middle East hasn't been THIS radicalized in decades. And it's no surprise there is ample American presence in the area. Those of you who choose to believe that the radicalism exists because Islam exists and ignore the fact that the area has been oozing with American military campaigns that have actually killed, passively and actively, hundreds of thousands of human beings, be my guests.

My opinion, for one, is based on the fucking obvious, aka, cheap oil.

Exactly, leave them alone. Let them carry out their own revolutions. Let them find out how screwed up religions are.

Build a state of the art fence and do not let them into your country. Eventually desperation becomes revolution and these Islamic Estate fuckers will pay for it dearly. But let the locals do it.

Unfortunately, just "leaving them alone" doesn't work when they have resources that you need. And when said people immigrate to your countries, or request help. Or when said countries want to join the UN. It's like when you were kids and the said kids want to play with you. And you say, "ok, these are the rules to the game..." And then when you see said kid who is now on your team, and you notice a black eye---you ask and it is from their parent. So, as a kid, are you going to ignore someone on your team whose parent is giving them black eyes?

Leaving people "alone" will not work for Europe or the US.
Especially, when you are asked for help. Or have to deal with them on a world stage. Or the fact that you may be responsible for the issues at hand. Just saying "I am going to leave you alone now" just doesn't cut it.

The CIA seems to think Western involvement in the Middle East has something do to with terrorist events by said Middle Eastern people.  In fact they have a word for it 'Blowback'.

"Originally, blowback was CIA internal coinage denoting the unintended, harmful consequences—to friendly populations and military forces.

In formal print usage, the term blowback first appeared in the Clandestine Service History—Overthrow of Premier Mossadeq of Iran—November 1952–August 1953, the CIA's internal history of the 1953 Iranian coup d'état, sponsored by the US and UK, which was published in March 1954.[2][3] Blowback from this operation would indeed occur with the Iranian Revolution and the Iran hostage crisis."

Religious crazies are crazy and Islam leads at the top of them for violence and intolerance.  It's a perfect storm to have occupying powers and wars on their "holy lands" for 100 years.  It doesn't justify their violence but it does add perspective.

Sophomore year in college, we were reading a book called Blowback the semester 9/11 happened. I remember everyone freaking out because the book specifically named Bin Laden.
