My wife's and my Medicare advantage plan premiums actually went down about $20 a month each as did some of the copays. Primary care doctor copays are now $15 instead of $20 and specialists are $35 instead of $40. I assume this has something to do with Obamacare. Income is also a factor in premium costs for those of us who are retired and eligible for Medicare. If you make over $80,000 a year you pay a higher premium cost to Medicare. The base rate is about $105 a month, if I remember correctly.
My wife was recently in the hospital. I'll be getting a bill for the copays on her stay. Last year we spent nearly $9,000 out of pocket on medical expenses. Getting old is expensive. Keep this in mind and try to stay young.....let me know how this works out for you....ha, ha.
