why the hell would any supplement or BBing company associate itself with an individual who has worked to bring down the supplement/steroid industry?

After doing an interview about BK today with the Boston Globe I think that...

It was more of a shits and giggles. Personally, I would never have him 'represent' bb.com. Then again, it is not my company...

I can respect that Will, and I appreciate the honest answer. yeah, Canseco was a hell of a ballplayer... but he did do a lot to perpetuate negative stereotypes about steroids after making his fortune off them. Peace.

Good point.
I give him credit for saying "fuck you" to an industry who tried to fuck him. It's too bad he had to name people in his book, but it was needed to make it genuine. I heard Bonds does more growth than Coleman, is that true?

Jose is a tall guy and has some muscle on his frame but to say he is huge compared to a pro bodybuiler is silly...After seeing the Surreal life, Jose is a weight lifter, not a bodybuilder...

No problem with Jose, I'm much more offended by liars who go through their careers and under oath in front of Congress claim they've never used roids, in order to get ahead and maintain the baseball status quo. Obnoxious.

Jose's just keepin it real, and i'm glad he named names, since they did in fact do what he's claimed. They benefited, they took the chance, now deal with it. What, you need to maintain some lame baseball "tradition"? Long gone, and nothing to do with Jose.

Jose is HUGE by almost any standard, at 6'4", 250-a lot bigger & more athletic than most BBs, who tend to be short and look like kids in comparison. He dwarfs them and with that height advantage and superior athleticism, he could beat the ass of most BBs.

The supplement company's smart to have him involved-he's widely known AND proved that supplementation and training works.

Canseco is a big guy no matter how you measure. He made a huge mark in professional baseball. You guys rag on him for taking roids but even back then allot of pro ballpalyers were taking them. Some more some less some with good some with great results. In baseball as with the other team sports you have many guys trying to take your job from you every spring. If you can't perform better than the next guy you are out and you could lose millions of dollars. You do what you have to do. He did. As did Mark with him. As did dozens of other pro ballplayers from that era. He wrote a tell all book, big deal. It sold a ton of copies. You think the publisher wanted him to write a half ass book and maybe sell allot copies. Hell no do a tell all and get a ton of publicity. He did and it was great.

I don't think their not saying anything about taking gear, their talking about how he ratted out different players in the league. As far as his TAKING gear. It's an even playing field, at least 75-80% of players are on. Conseco's name was somewhat cleared (because people were saying he was lying) after Raffy Palmeiro tested dirty!
