Yes, most likely, especially the ones that post pictures on their facebook holding up a dead deer. Yes, real men. Post those dead kills on facebook.  ::) ::) What tools.

There is a big difference between our ancestors who hunted and respected the kill, as oppose to these dingbats who try to appear badass to their friends on social media. Pathetic.

Would love to see a MD video where Branch takes you on a hunting trip. The conversation between both of you would be fun :D

I am white and do not hunt. Do not see the point in it. I think its a lot of men who want to try to appear badass. They probably think it impresses people.  ::) ::)

No surprise there. Fitness people or those who work out are masters at posting selfies of themselves on facebook.

Kid Rock's career has been over for a while.  Guess he's taking over for Ted Nugent.

Who's worse: A meat-eating non-hunter or a vegan hunter?

That's why they gave him a permit to kill one. Keeping the population under control allows them to stick to their normal food source. When their population growns beyond their food supply they come into human contact.
Then if that is true, he should have just kept the pic private. Instead it makes him look like he is gloating over killing it, like a trophy. Just like those turn of the 20th century "hunters" standing next to multiple wolf, cougar carcasses. And then what do you know? The prey population goes haywire.

I bet Howards wife is a cougar when Howard is not around.

The past 3 wives were about as faithful as Goodrum's ab cuts. :D
When they said; "I do"
I should have asked; "With who? "

In NH we don't admit that there are Mountain Lion in the state as that would bring a flood of Feds and all the BS of "The Endangered Species Act", so we are unofficially encouraged to shoot, shovel and STFU.

We're just trying to keep The Man off our back.

Maybe it's the thrill of the hunt and feeling the power one has to kill?

I had a physics student in my class once who was from rural Louisiana ( in the bayou).
On the way out of class, he asked me ; " You're pretty wide, how do you fit in a deer stand ?"
I told him I didn't hunt and he briefly looked confused. Then he got a big smile and said;
" Oh sorry, I should have known you were a fisherman."

LOL, I didn't have the heart to tell him I didn't hunt or fish.

You know why I like to hunt? Mostly because I like to walk through the woods with friends. That I have a rifle slung across my back makes no difference to me. Many, MANY "successful" hunts my rifle never left the right-shoulder sling.

It's a certain amount of stress to actually shoot. You are trying your hardest to make the kill as clean and as humane as possible all the while preserving the maximum amount of edible meat (high velocity rounds damage so much of the meat with hydrostatic shock. It literally liquifies the muscle. I usually use a very slow moving .45/70 round).

There is no honor in killing anything, so it is up to us to do our best to maximize the benefit to our families.

I guess I can abide by the odd Kid Rock trophy hunt - as long as it keeps him out of the recording studio. Farkin`hack.

I catch and release. But probably only because my local lakes are polluted.

aj i would love to go hunting with you. Like i wrote before hunting and going in the wilderness is an art in its self and you need experience. Like living and surviving in a jungle and tropical environment. The Dangers are small Parasites.

Up here, the biggest danger is ticks that all carry Lyme disease. But we have quite a few predators too: black bear, mountain lion, wolf, coyote, bobcat and fucking hawks that look like they could carry away a full grown goat.

I've had fisher cats and coyotes in my yard too.  But the ticks have been consistently the worst.
