ibuprofen will inhibit prostaglandins (I believe asprin will as well). inhibit prostaglandins and you halt the repair process.

if you're gonna use a 'pain killer', use Tylenol, as it has no effect on prostaglandins.

once i took a xannax before the gym on accident lol...

Was planning on taking it after the gym. Took it out of my pill bottle and without thought just threw it in my mouth and swallowed...I get in my car sit there for a sec then releaize WTF i just did. I freak out and start punching my steering wheel.

was so worried id be all sluggish  but guess what? I had an amazing workout and felt like i didnt care about shit was just slamming weight

I remember back in the day - I had a bottle of 5mg var next to a bottle of 100mcg clen.

I took 6 var, went to watch TV and 30 mins later was sweating like a blind lesbian in a fish market.

Course, I'd taken 6 clen like a dummy.

T-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-that was a f-f-f-f-fun night. Fortrunately Xanax was on hand to calm things down

you, me, and a whole lotta other guys used that exact same formula.

I did from 2000 till about 2002 when abbot and astra halted production and prices had steadily climbed from $12/bottle of abbot nubain to over $90/bottle.

then after doing my research, I switched to Torbugesic and would run 20iu of the 10mg/ml stuff (from the big 50 or 100cc bottle.. the stuff in the 10cc bottles was only 2mg/ml)

Why would anyone need pain killers to perform a workout?  Seriously?  I don`t understand at all.  I have done tons of brutal workouts, insane stuff at times and never had any pain or need.

Now some of of you inject things for pain?  This is ridiculous.  What is your reasoning?

buddy of mine did a similar thing with nubain and insulin.

we'd keep our nubain in humulin R bottles (the nubain one had a mark on it to tell them apart). he loaded up a 1cc syringe of insulin, thinking it was nubain, and a 12iu syringe of nubain, thinking it was humulin R.

well, he shot the 1cc "nubain" IV first, then followed with the 12iu "humulin R" IM.. when the humulin r IM injection burned/stung like fucking hell (the way nubain did) he'd realized he'd mixed them up and did 1cc insulin IV and proceeded to eat a gallon of ice cream and drink a 2L coke and woke up the next morning on the couch to a bucket of melted ice cream and empty coke bottles. lol

on top of that, he was staying at a friends house sleeping on his couch (because he was homeless.. kicked out of the house by his ex gf.. and this guy was in nearly every bodybuilding mag on the shelves from 2000-2003. lol... the illusion of success, eh)

If you have to inject pain medication to perform some bicep curls and a few sets of squats, you have an addiction problem I think.

What do you suggest for training related aches and pains? I have been take a bit of Ibuprofen as of late...

2 easy ways: from the inside out and the outside in.

1) I know you're a pretty healthy guy (homo) so systemic inflammation isn't so much a big deal for you, but still, do what you can nutritionally to reduce inflammation. There's all the obvious stuff I won't list, I'm sure you know.

2) there's some pretty cool essential oil blends showing some good prospects regarding aches/pains, I use an awesome one on my shoulders every workout. Get your HRT doc to throw in 50mgs nandrolone. Keep your blood and nerve supply to the problem area at max potential.

Unfortunatelly i have been down that road, had to shot diclofenac eod because of rotator cuff injuries. I advise you to stop training and seek proper help/rehab.

Munzer used to eat aspirin to avoid blood clothing due to massive steroid use. Somethig like 20 aspirins a day.

You seem genuinely curious so ill attempt to answer. Theres two types that use pain killers. Clueless newbies and seasoned vets. Seasoned as in 15 years plus serious training. For the latter you need look at nagging injuries. Also for the latter those that train on elite levels. Personally sometimes im squeezing in 2 workouts a day 7 days a week. Pain can become a problem. Also youre definition of a brutal workout and a seasoned vets are in two completely different worlds. Thats just being honest. I see what most on the internet consider brutal and its laughable. Example, if You see what pros lift and think its not possible, all drugs, or some other reason, your training isnt what you think it is..

When you say "oils" are you referring to orals or injectables? I was on a good plan with fish oils daily, but ran out a month ago and haven't really resupplied myself. Perhaps I should do that soon.

I will consider talking to "my HRT doc" about the nandrolone!

For the most part, you are correct. Overall, I am fine. I am on the downslope of a 8 month bout with rotator cuff tendonitis that took me a while to figure out how to work around properly, but it's CLEARLY getting better.

Mostly, I think that my muscular pain is stress-related as I am one of those guys that can store stress in my neck and shoulders and don't have the time nor the inclination to seek regular manipulation/massage.

Last night, in place of my oh-so habitual 2x200mg ibuprofen, I tried a 1x500mg tylenol. Worked fine.

I was talking about cardio.  The inflammation inhibits my cardio.  For example with no inflammation I can easily run a 5K in 26 mins and with inflammation it will be a brutal 33 mins.

I was replying to the OP.

I loved the Nube too. How did you like the torb once you switched? Why did Abbot/Astra discontinue production? Prices went from $30 up to $125 over night

I have over 15 years of training straight, no breaks, no injuries and yes, my workouts have been brutal.

I have posted my workouts many times before and most people don`t think I do them, but I really do.

I have done tons of volume, 10 sets of 20 squats- 1-2 minute rest, GVT training, Supersets, Dropsets, trained until you see starts and everything is spinning and the only thing you hear is your heartbeat on the verge of passing out.

I have done it all and still do.  Always train hard.

No injuries, no pain.  I have done Smovlov, squatted, no leg press for years now.  You get the idea.  The way I see it, some people are just broken.  Glad I am not.

Used to take 300 mg of Tramadol each Monday at the gym. The shit gave me incredible energy, but problem was if you worked out too hard and got your heart rate up, well you were fucked. One day I did that and the results were I started having trouble breathing, I went outside in the cold to catch my breath but that did not work.

Made it into the locker room and started projectile vomiting everywhere, next I made it to the shower and turned the water on cold, stripped down and laid in the floor for about 10 mins. After that craziness, I felt great but learned my lesson.
