Cardio Session of Peace!
« on: February 17, 2015, 04:25:49 PM »
It's about that time to start getting back on the cardio/diet bandwagon. .kicked it off with an 80 min cardio session on the stair climber. ..got me thinking whats the most cardio you've ever done in 1 day..during my last prep I had a few days where I was doing 3 hrs total (3 sessions)..almost 800 cals burned in this session.

The longest I did was watching Troy while on the elliptical machine, just shy of 3 hours.

80 minutes!  Why not a higher intensity for 40 minutes?

Low intensity, but I was dead at the end. I considered going for the whole 3 hours but I didn't have it in me.

My long slow run day takes about an hour. I see no reason to do more than that, even though I easily could. Running can be addictive. You have to say enough is enough.

I don't do that treadmill crap, way too boring. This is how I roll:

In Dec, I did a 10 mile run @ approx 8 min mile followed by a 5k with a 45lb pack.

Also did a 3 hr, 25 min 13 mile ruck with 45lbs

Obviously not moving at high speeds with the weight, but you're working the whole time.

Any way we can shop the Basille white  van (with Goodrum)  , coming at you on that winter road?

FYI, pretty road , looks like a nice ,chilly run

I leave Photoshop to those with some ability at it.

The pic is Central Park. What makes it great is that it's closed to cars for several hours a day. So, you can run without worrying about getting clipped.

I listen to Podcasts, usually business/finance oriented. For some reason, I'm not into music when I run.

TA, I am not a very good cook. I really like chicken. What do you think is a good blend of spices/ingredients to put on boneless chicken breasts before cooking? Maybe a blend of garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper?  ??? ???

Nothing.  Salt and Pepper and then make a pan sauce.  Putting spices on before, unless making like a jerk chicken or something is pointless in my opinion.

I dont even know what a pan sauce is. Is it sauce you make in the pan while the chicken is cooking? What would be in a pan sauce?
