I would probably end up a similar weight if I tried to get into contest shape (at 6'2ft).
Crazy how light you end up in that sort of condition.

Haha that guy is hopeless.  Only cardio I get is maybe 90 minutes of bike riding on Saturdays... Unless you count scrambling out the door to catch the bus each morning (50 ft or so)

Yeah I lls, so what... Its called being natural + not gifted.  I don't think anyone could do any better with what I've been given.

As for pics, I don't look much diff than my avatar, maybe 5 lbs difference.

It's time to peel in the office and show those dorks who they are dealing with. A couple of glute shots and you'll be on the fast track!

Solid plan.

Joon is so clueless. He has absolutely no idea how much muscle he has to gain in order to reach that target. :D
Fuck it, put the guy on a IFBB pro stack and I still think he'd fail to reach that. ;D

Joon's problem is he thinks he's going to talk his way into a good physique.

at some point, you have to consistently get in the work. thru hangovers, hookers, drugs....you drag your ass to the gym.

You are a great cook. You make delicious looking cat food inspired meals, your contributions to the what did you eat yesterday thread have been rivaled only by shizzo's generic gif postings.

thanks bud

good work Ceph.  what do you estimate your BF at ?

thanks.  hard to say... maybe 7-8%?  i've only been measured once, in highschool, using an inaccurate method... they said 8% at that time.

it's weird how your body changes over time.  when i was this weight before, i certainly didn't have as lean of a lower body -- but I also didn't train legs back then (this is almost a decade ago), so it's kind of hard to compare.  i also think i had less fat on my stomach before -- i could barely pinch anything off -- and my shoulders and chest had more prominent striations.  now, i have less striations but WAY more vascularity, also better definition on my triceps and brachialis (which I could never see before).

As a true natty with average genetics you will end up extremely light in the single digits. I have never been there, but I'm dieting down to a legit 6%  ;D doing the Galeniko diet and I'm now 5'11", 174 lbs. Not long ago I used to be a delusional permabulker fatso at 213. Probably will end in the low 140s or something which is equivalent to what cephissus got down to.

How did you get shredded glutes at 7-8 %  ??? I thought you needed to be at least 5% and dry...

6'3 169? Just because you "retired" from bodybuilding doesn't mean you have to stop training and EATING. One extreme to the other

What do you mean you retired from bodybuilding? Were you huge and juiced before or just bulked until you got fat as fuck thinking you had a lot of muscle?

What made you retire from "bodybuilding"?

I've shrunk to 5' 10" and currently weigh 190 lbs. Not sure if my glutes are striated, but I still have them and I am 70 years old. No pictures....sorry!  ;D

How tall were you in your prime (20's/30's)?

I maxed out at 5' 11 1/2" when I was still a youth. Not sure when I started to shrink. It is mostly spinal compression/degeneration. My inseam has stayed the same, but my back is definitely not as long as it once was. Fortunately, since I had a disproportionately long back, the ratio of back to leg length is pretty normal even today. On the other hand my arms are still disproportionately long. And as someone mentioned my wrists are 9" which suggests I am large boned.

Other than hanging upside down, I don't know what one can do to counter the compression in our spines. It just is what it is. Most everyone I know who made it to old age has shrunk. I think my mom went from 5'8" to about 5'6". My wife has really shrunk. She was about 5'9" when we married. She seems really short these days.

Taking vitamin D3 plus calcium and weight training should minimize the shrinking.

Thanks for the advice. I've weight trained my entire adult life. Can't say much about D3, but there is likely calcium in my senior multivitamins.

Without a doubt, genetics plays a role in people's bone health. Poor posture also can cause us to lose height. Growing up, I was one of the tallest kids in my class. I think this made me stoop some. I remember wanting to be both shorter and thicker when I was a kid. I was not only tall for my age, I was unbelievably skinny as a teenager. I would have sold my soul to be short and muscular....be careful of what you wish for, it may just come to pass.

Ok you just confused the shit out of me, but i know what you mean  ;D

I might have been a little hungry when I wrote that ;D

Also, to respond to some others (sorry, posting on my phone):

Not sure how long it took.  I've never dieted for a goal, I've always just tried to achieve the best state I can sustain indefinitely.  So, I could say it took 11+ years, since that's how long its taken to learn and experiment enough to arrive where I am today.

I 'retired' from 'bodybuilding' because I looked and felt like utter shit, stuffing myself with 6k calories a day.  Yeah I've taken it just as far in the other direction -- now I look like an aids victim, in clothes at least.

But at least I know more about my limits.  You'll laugh at how clueless and confined by prejudice the vast majority of people are, with regard to diet and exercise, only after pushing yourself to the extreme.
