This might be a dumb question but how long do you figure it will take for my metabolism to get back to normal till i can slowly drop cals
well, probably depends on your metabolism, how long you crash dieted and how quickly you increase calories
id start at 1800 or so and increase by 100 each week
its gonna take some time but id increase up to 3000 and then drop to 2500 and go from there or so.
when im bulking i usually start slightly above maintenance and increase kcals by about 100 each week
metabolism adapts pretty well without additional fat gain and that way you can easily keep gaining for 3 months or so, plus you have a much higher caloric point to go from when transitioning to a cut
id assume that approach would work for reverse dieting / your problem aswell
