Eh, I thought it was pretty good. I almost didn't watch it because I never heard anything about it.

they guy at the end? I thought the end was fine, he'd taken a lot of punishment by the time he got to the Top dog and he still beat him, just not as quickly as he would have fresh and uninjured

I enjoyed it far more than any of the Hobbit films.  Movies are escapist fare and John Wick provided just that in much the same was as did the "Taken" series of films.
