Author Topic: Going to NYC (Manhattan) next week, what's good around there? (Read 8161 times)

I'll be in the Manhattan area for a week next week as I'm helping some guys do a take over and I'm overseeing the due dilligence process, expecting long hours so only free in the evenings.

I'm not a touristy person, so not intrested in queuing up with euro families to see the usual sights....but at the same time I'd like to enjoy my stay in the evenings...what's good around there and recommendations for a handsome solo traveller? I've pinned down a cigar lounge not far from my hotel....food places haven't thought much about it...is there unmissable things whilst I'm there or shall I just stay in my hotel room and masturbate viciously til I pass out every night?

stand in times square and the whole world will pass you bye.... not to mention that smell. most these people never heard of soap... have fun... make sure you watch out for this butt pirate .....don't buy any grapefruits off the second guy pic'd... you've been warned.

Midtown the restaurants can be expensive if you not careful. I ordered a Corona in midtown in one bar and I was charged $19 bucks. Best bet is to walk around the village for bars and restaurants. Just stay away from bars named something like the Manhole or Big Dick Rick's. Unless that's what you like and not that there's anything wrong with that.

Powerhouse gym, bronxdale ave bx
Bevs powerhouse 25 min away on lirr, syosset
Richies gym, colesium gym
Strong and shapely rutherford nj. 20 min on nj transit

I go to Manhattan with the wife every 6 months or so. We just walk all day like a tourist but avoid the typical tourist stuff. If we see a restaurant that looks interesting we go in it. We hop in out of different bars and stores. It's always a great time.

The high line in Chelsea is a good walk to nice restaurants and bars. It's a long abandoned elevated railroad that got turned into a walking park. The village proper has so many good places to eat. Almost every time I go to Greenwich village I run into a celebrity walking around. So many live there. Also A list models are found in so many bars. Broadway shows are always fun. The museum of Natural History and the MoMA art museum is another good time.

i didnt rate new york but i didnt research it and couldnt find the decent nightlife
