I'm not so sure about about the weak era argument with Dexter. Is it helping him continue his reign? Yes. But he still had a very solid record in the early 2000's when there was still some very strong competition -

This x1000.
He reminds me more like Vince Taylor...consistent, quiet. Under-rated.
And of course, still in shape when others his age have falling apart.

I think he also shows that playing the size game doesn't work in the end. Those who have done that either have really torn muscles, dead, or in bad shape health wise.

More complete than Taylor was and even more consistent. I don't buy the "competed in a weak era" argument. Sure, competition was stiffer in the 90's but if any Bber from the last decade could have competed with the 90's field, it's Dex if only for conditioning. Heath, Cutler, even at their best never had the balance/conditioning combo that was still the standard in the 90's. Apart from calves, Dex has no weaknesses and his structure is better than most's, Shawn Ray included. Let's not even talk about Heath or Kai.

MILLER HIGH LIFE GUY
DIES AT 36

Windell D. Middlebrooks -- the actor best known for playing the straight-talking Miller High Life delivery man -- died suddenly at his home ... TMZ has learned.
Sources close to Middlebrooks tell us he was found unconscious at home in the San Fernando Valley Monday morning -- and was transported by ambulance to a hospital ... where he was pronounced dead.
We're told it does not appear there was any foul play.

I've asked Dexter that question about "how does it feel to be always left out of the conversation of favorites to win a show?"

His reply was he doesn't know either, and laughed but said that's why he's killing everyone on conditioning and shape

He's never the favorite from fans, people would always pick Evan, Cedric, even brandon curry to win a show before Dexter. Like this yrs arnold everyone saying Compton  ::)

When people look back years from now at the last decade of bodybuilding dexter will stand out as the best quality physique in an era of bloated guts and seo. He is one of the greatest of all time.

Maybe around like top 15 all time.
Agree, would you put him ahead of Flex & Kevin or after? Don't think he ever beat them head to head, but he won a lot more shows including the O & a much longer career

He's like Cormier...one of the best, but "boring" because he's flawlessly balanced, no strengths or weakness, just perfect as is, so he gets looked over.

(Even though cormiers physique bores me) no homo

Higher than top 15.   He is the most symmetrical bodybuilder to ever step on stage.  He also grew proportionately and perfectly, and his conditioning more consistent than any other pro...always detail in the serratus and lower back...top 10 for sure.

Dexter has a funky looking mid section.  Not perfect at all.  From his hips up to his rib cage he tapers INWARDS which is the opposite of a v taper.

Cormier has the better physique in terms of just physique but bbing contests of course Dexter is ahead

Cormier should have won the 04 and 05 Arnold over Jay and Dexter

His physique and structure is better plus he's 5'10 and can carry mass yet still pull off a vacuum and no gut, not bad for a hard core rec drug user of X, coke, nubain, etc..  ;D

Dexter is easily one of the greatest bodybuilders ever. Near perfect symmetry, ALWAYS conditioned, full round muscle bellies and a consistent winning record. Dexter is super underrated and a threat for the win at any show he enters.

Dex is probably one of the very few pros that could actually win his pro card again with his current shape.
