Taking creatine for too long
« on: March 15, 2015, 09:51:37 AM »
I hear some people take about 5 grams of creatine daily and never take a break ....

What's the longest you've been on creatine without coming off ?

Does it come to a point your body gets use to it and you're just waisting it ?

Even though I feel like a fool, I've been "on" for years.

You only need about 2 - 1/2 teaspoons per day for max results.  Higher recommended amounts is just marketing BS to get you to buy/use more creatine.

"Creatine loading"  ::)  ???

As a natural I can feel a difference honestly when I don't take it. I think if I was on gear it would be useless it take.

Been on it for years. It's cheap as shit and has actually been proven to work unlike 99% of supplements. Take 3-5g a day of monohydrate instead of all the other garbage.

Are you talking about 5 grams of scientifically engineered KreAlkalyn Creatine?!! Thats like 25 grams of monhydrate. My word bodybuilders live on the edge.

Isn't it funny after all these years that the one supplement that actually works, we still don't have a consensus opinion on proper use of it (I know that there is I mean that theres STILL a broscience mentality).

Not true. Creatine give you results via atp production which gear does not do.

I took it for years too. My kidney tests started coming back bad. Doc told me to stop taking it and the numbers improved. Some will say that creatine changes into  creatinine that is used to measure kidney function and nothing to be alarmed about. It did alarm me so I stopped. If the kidneys are involved in filtering out creatine I didn't want the extra load on my kidneys. Creatine also made me retain water.  It is the only supplement I ever used that worked though.  The part that bothers me is that so many say it does nothing for them. The first time I took it my muscles got tighter and the pump was increased. No doubt I got stronger using it. It's just not worth the risk too me now. Use only German creapure brand. The stuff sold under so many brands is sourced from Chinese crap that you have to worry about impurities and even the creatine content.

I read it increases DHT levels and thus makes your hair fall off

one good reason for me not to take it

Maybe a year and a 1/2 was my longest run on it. It loses it's pop after a while, but I can still feel a mild bump in endurance even after long periods. And as mentioned, it's cheap as heck in bulk.

If you do steroids your DHT levels are thorugh the roof anyways. So if you didn't lose hair by roids then you're not going to with adding some creatine lol

I was using creatine for YEARS before ever touching gear, the hair loss was from the gear, creatine never had me lose hair.

ok, heard of some had affect atp, but not sure to the level of creatine. Creatine does it without shutdown of anything else. NOthing has ever come close to matching the magical results of creatine.

Who takes gear for atp increase in bb'ing? Nothing comes to mind, if anything, by all means, do let me know!

Yeah in one 3 week study in 2009 in South Africa of 20 rugby players loading with 25g a day for a week. No follow up study after this groundbreaking discovery....

What about creatine sold at Walmart and target ?

Is it same quality just half the price ?

I even heard muscletech is behind those supps with different label, just to monopolize the industry.
