So, in other words, its a slightly modified dumbbell row and its just called a Kroc row?
Its just looser form with more weight and high reps.
I don't know, I still don't see a difference. Its not like its a drastically different exercise than a standard dumbbell row.
Indeed, that's exactly what it is, a sloppy heavy row done for reps.
To be fair, he didn't pull a Weider and invent a lift. I remember when it first started a decade+ ago, it was mainly internet powerlifters that wrote into EliteFTS's board that called them Kroc rows, and then it became a bit of a joke, and now it just sorta fell into common use.
