To answer your question..............YE S it is very illegal! I would get rid of them asap, my wife found pics of my then 16 yr old sons 15 yr old girlfriend on his phone. After further investigation he could of been charged at 16 as an adult for having child porn on his phone. Get rid of them ASAP or post it her first then get rid of it Hahahah!!!

Are you asking from a legal standpoint or by Getbig standards?  Legally I don't know, but I know a guy who was dating an underage girl (22/16 or 17), he got charged.  They got married, but by the time all the legal BS was over, he ended up having to register as a sex offender.   They have 3 kids now.

Yes.  It makes things very difficult for them, especially with regards to the kids - ie:  school, kids friends parents not allowing them to socialize, etc.  The guy owns a business so many in the community know him and probably don't know the history/story.  There's a website you can put in your zip code and see the names and pictures of registered sex offenders in your area.  People see that and

But what's your cut-off? Why 16 and not 15 1/2? Whats the fundamental difference between a 16 year old and a 15 1/2 year old? Why did you make the cut-off at 16?

The thread purpose was to show that the laws are arbitrary and fucked up. I agree with SF1900, what's the difference between 15 1/2 and 16? There's is a thin line between pedo and not pedo. A 18 yo kid with a 15 yo girl is seen as illegal but a 70 yo man with a 18 girl is legal.

I agree there really is no set answer. Its fucked up that a month difference in age in a situation can cause a guy to be a pedo, or be perfectly legal. The law is messed up. A number is just a number
