He did ok. He doesn't need any coach. It didn't help him and in my judgment hurt him a bit.
NOBODY needs a contest prep guru at this level...nobody.

Was gonna point that out also. But it's the trend like no other these days. Guys go from guru to guru when after all that, they could have figured it out by themselves.

Bodybuilders are funny :D

99.9% of them are fat and cant diet...and they start to talk about carbloading, water, 24hour before, 1 week after bla bla bla....DIET MORE up the gh!

U need to be unhealthy, dangerous RIPPED to look great on a stage or blessed with negro separations in the arms back legs, but that's genetic, nothing u can change.

That's not "spilling over".

You were holding a ton of water and still had fat to lose.

The King Kamali "kitchen" posing shots only look good due to lighting.

You were still a few weeks out.

Yeah, LOL. That was the guy that took the overall. Everybody gets in a long line to take shots at Mike. Sometimes they misfire.

When taking shots at Navy Mike, one must present a clear, precise, and logical joke.  ;D ;D

Lol that's what I'm trying to tell you that lighting made everyone look terrible and the more I look at the pics of others I really see how much lighting can effect everthing here is me and the guy that got 3rd. Was in amazing shape and killings me in conditioning from the rear zero question I have a fatass lol. But as you can see he even doesn't look good in the lighting

Let me state im not saying I was at his level of condition. He was in great shape I just using this to show how bad even the lights made him look

it seems like the lighting bars at the Phil Heath Classic weren't wide enough to portray the competitors in a good light.

Also, remember back with Dante's "Pennies" article... he talked about 800 mg per week, possibly going up to 1 gram as he hit 280 pounds.   Navy Mike is under 200 pounds and is running 1 gram plus orals.  Amazing how the bar has been raised.

Congrats Mike.

Thanks west. To be honest I was upset are first. Then I started comparing the pictures abd relized everyone looked way off compared to how I remeber seeming them in person.  I was center 3rd call out out of 5 or 6 call outs that had to that put me 12 or 13 out of 26 or more. So really for a show coach and I knew I wasn't going to win and was just for fun to learn how my body responded it's actually not bad! Would I have like a top 10? Hell ya! But I'll take 12 or 13 in my first show versus real competition

Complete different people take way different stuff. Most national lhw and above run over 2 to 3 grams a week... We are talking 198lb and up guy plus gh and slin. Which I've never used gh

your hormones are going to go nuts when you bridge down this cycle, and the estrogen imbalance is going to be the beginning of the end.  Temples thinning visilbly over the past few months of pics, and the big doozy is a comin'.

massage scalp.  Look into whatever treatment is next.  the stress your body was under is insane.  But the hormone shift that's coming is going to make you join the sly ranks, if youre not proactive.

Serious question Mike...Why do you think a prep coach is needed? I have yet to understand why every competitor thinks it's necessary. I'd be pissed big time man had I paid for services to come in with soft glutes and lower back.

He's just playing a guessing game, you know that, right?

yep, you're definitely right about guys doing 2000 mg a week like it's nothing.  Amazing how much things have changed.  I wasn't shitting on your usage.

The HGH shit is amazing.  My nephew (eventually adopting) is on it... he's 12 and hasn't grown in years due to a tumor sitting next to his pituitary.  He's taking gh shots and it's amazing the changes in him... although he's aggressive beyond belief.

The stuff he was able to do in just 12 weeks with him was nuts.  Look I'm no expert in this and if I'm going to spend time and money in it then I'm going to make sure I'm utilizing all of it to the fullest. The way he dieted me I would have never done on my own. How he was able to add muscle and loss fat.  How he would way up my carbs to spark methaboism rate increase when I was flat goes against what I thought deiting was. Could I deit without one? Sure no problem. But why not learn from so so e with years of experience already under his belt. Now I'm learn how stuff works

I'm sorry to hear that. From what I've heard it's the holy grail really. If your a 195lb in a year you can be a 220lb.  There is a reason everyone blew up in the 90's
