2000 calories

Say u had 3 exactly the same people (same genes).

All ate 2600 cals in balanced diet for years...

Then:

One ate 2000 cals from Steak and veggies

One ate 2000 cals from fish and oats/rice

One ate 2000 cals from whatever they wanted


Would they all look exactly the same in terms of bodyfat lost after 10 weeks?

If we talk about how they would look, then of course NO. Calorie is NOT a calorie if we speak LOOKS.

No they wouldn't, but the person who can eat whatever he wants is surely the happiest. Unless you like eating the same thing every day.

Not sure, probably depends on an individual metabolism (some process carbs better, some protein, etc..). I for example can drink oil and still won't get fat (my body temperature increases and burns off extra energy as a response that makes me immune fat accumulation).

I say yes they'd be pretty much exactly the same regarding fat loss, BUT show me where this study or something even close to it has been done and published in a peer reviewed journal.  No one can answer with other than Broscience without that.

Because that would entail me having to diet.

What I meant by not being cut and dry is: 2,000 does not breakdown the sugar, carbs, fat ratios of the above diets.

The 2,000 calories of "anything" will be processed differently then the 2,000 calories of steak and vegetables.

This also does not take into account that not everyone processes nutrients in the same manner.

This doesn't even take genetics or metabolisms into consideration either.

the 2000 calories part isnt the main focus my friend

you could adjust that number its the make up of the macro nutrients

think about it buttons

 ??? ??? There have been probably thousands of studies on diet and energy metabolism.
