They're cute, but I don't think they make good pets plus it is not legal to keep Koalas even in Australia. They mainly eat eucalyptus leaves. You'll need to to have eucalyptus trees in your yard.

The male ones want to be boss in the home. A friend told me about a documentary about a guy in the USA who had a Roo since it was a baby. It was beating him up really bad. I have only ever handled female Roo's and they have been placid even with joeys in their pouches. I was never seen as a threat.
