If I'm an Eagles fan I have to be asking what in the hell are we doing this offseason.

But dont you also have to be a good player to play for the NFL? Not just bring humility to the team?

I wonder if this is a way for the Eagles to be perceived as a "classy" team.

Its not the same Tebow from 2 years ago.  He's been training like a mad dog and is much, much, much faster and more efficient than ever before along with packing on even more muscle.

He's not Brady or Favre but he's got more firepower than he used to

Tebow hasn't played in two years. How do you come back and play QB in the NFL?

He's been training with some NFL specialist.  He practiced with the Eagles last month which is why he got the job because he got much better than he was.  Even Terrell Owens is still training because.....you never know

By knowing he has the capabilities to take a team to playoffs like he did with Denver. Plus his work ethic is second to none.

He couldn't even make a team last year, much less complete a pass in 2012 with the Jets.  I like him, I hope he does great, but him bringing Denver to the playoffs is a fluke story if there ever was one.

Finally!!!

PHI has a great track record with good decision-making :)

All kidding aside, if he learned to throw accurately and consistently, and gave up trying to bulldoze his way thru the line every time, then I think he could be okay at QB.  Also work on faster and better decision making.  I love his attitude, I just hope he doesn't try to make it all about himself on the field.  Play in that system and see success.

PHI is smelling more and more desperate and gimmicky all the time, but who knows.

Arm strength wasn't ever the issue; delivery and accuracy was/is. I'm excited he's getting another shot, I hope he makes the team, I'm sure Sanchez is having a good laugh but not as good as the one I'm having about Vincent insider info revealing Tebow packing on even MORE muscle. Rumor has it he's leaner than Brady Quinn with better symmetry than a young Jeff Hostletter.

I was told Jim Quinn measured his body fat at Golds Venice and the calipers read 0.0%!

;D i actually was hoping they would sign him as a utility type player much like the steelers used kordell stewart before they inserted him as a regular qb.

Accuracy and decision making.

He lacked both of those his entire NFL career.  He had a good run in DEN with an incredible defense, the NFL refs on the side of teh story-of-the-year, and the fact nobody had tape on him.  Once they learned "make him throw and he'll dump an INT every quarter" from Patriots in the playoffs, Tebow was neutralized entirely and was awful ever since.

IF he learned to throw and learned to faster process things at the line, he'll be a good QB.  I love his winning drive.  I am okay with "nobody is touching that fucking ball but me" phrase he gave us at DEN as long as he backed it up ;)   Once getbiggers were celebrating a 4th quarter barely-win against scrubs in the last NYJ pre-season game, we all knew that was it.

I'm excited by this.  It's the story of the day in a day when the NBA playoffs were actually pretty good over the weekend.

As a huge Eagles fan I am more concerned about Kelly's other moves this off-season. Tebow is the least of my worries, he will be it least third behind Sanchez.

If he makes the team. Barkley seems like a waste of a 4th rounder now.

The only other off season move that I'm not that happy about is getting Bradford with his knees and big contract. I can't see them getting Mariotta either. Would love it though. As you prob know there was a lot of rumours to trade up in the draft to get him, with names like Boykin and Kendricks and of course Bradford as trade bait. But that was with Cleveland, and there's no way Mariotta falls to #12.

Seems like we are stuck with Bradford, then Sanchez and Tebow :-X

Spoken like a true fan, the amount of 4th round picks that actually become contributors,  let alone starting quarterbacks (Although in Barkley's case if he came out the year before there was talk of him being the first overall pick) is a 50/50 proposition at best. The whole Draft is a cap shoot,  so many variables can determine a players success in the NFL.  Grantland.com had an article that researched how teams fare in drafting and it concluded that their isn't that a great a difference between good teams and bad teams in terms of getting players who contribute (meaning no one team is better at evaluating talent over the long haul), the key was having more picks.

I'd be more concerned with all the proven talent Kelly has shipped out, but he knows the team and what he wants.

I'm a Lions fan and when our gm traded 4th and 5th round picks for Ngata fans were going nuts saying we gave up to much for a guy entering the final year of his contract,  but when you contrast those picks with what we actually got out of them over the last 5 years getting a guy who will actually contribute isn't that bad of a deal.
