this is my neighbor.  his name is kris pisarcik and he's an amateur bodybuilder. 



about 10 minutes ago i found out that he has been diagnosed with liver cancer.  i don't know every detail but i was told that his particular kind of cancer will kill him without a full liver transplant.

and just to further manipulate any heartstrings you guys may or may not have left- he's supposed to get married next month.  they just bought a puppy that my son loves.

Just within 20 miles around where I live there are two young guys with the same type of tumors.  Both guys are bodybuilders.

Nate is competing again after having a football sized tumor removed (go to 3:25 to see where that story begins).

This guy competed after having a good portion of his liver resected and still has tumors.

It's interesting to read how you all justify your opinions of others. You don't know why he has liver cancer, you're just guessing. But I get it. When I take my wife to dialysis, I speculate why the other folks on dialysis have kidney failure. In my wife's case it was because she developed type II diabetes and chose to ignore it for years. Drug abuse, including steroids can also cause kidney failure. Likewise there are a lot of reasons for liver failure. I've done some things that aren't particularly good for a person's liver, like taking Dbol, drinking a little too much scotch and taking cholesterol meds for years and yet my liver is healthy. Don't be too quick to judge.

Your wasting your time, these guys never show compsation. I feel sorry for his cancer but I'm not going to give him money. But that doesnt mean I have to belittle him either

Of course anyone can get any type of cancer. However, we know enough to know that smoking cigarettes is directly related to causing cancer (easiest example to use). Does that mean we should all start smoking because any one of us can develop cancer at any time? Of course not. On average, we know what particular habits greatly increase the chance of getting cancer, thus we try to minimize our chances of getting cancer by not engaging in those types of behavior. Sure, some people do risky things and never get cancer, but that doesn't mean I am going to smart smoking either.

Either way, I am not going to belittle this man.

All but one of our four dogs is a rescue dog. We rescued Lucy from a tiny cage in a pet shop. She just cost us a little more than the other dogs did. What do you suppose happens to breeder's pups if no one buys them?

Not all breeders are running "puppy mills". There is a market for purebred dogs, I see nothing wrong in this.

Really the problem isn't legit breeders, it is with dog owners who decide it's too much hassle and discard the pet by taking it to the pound or dumping it somewhere like unwanted garbage.

Incidentally, all of our dogs are neutered even the pet shop pup. She's a papered Rat Terrier.
