Truth why McDonalds is suffering financially

McDonalds has had to fire their CEO, profits are down and stock is stuggling.  They are trying to reinvent their menu but they aren't pointing the finger at the crux of the issue.

It all started when they targeted black people in their ads.  The "I'm Lovin' it" is aimed at young blacks.  Almost every commercial is aimed at blacks.  They are targeting the demographic with the least money to spend.  They alienated the white people who never want to step foot into a McDonalds because of all the blacks that hang out there.  Whites would rather go and pay more at In an out, Five Guys or whatever else because they don't need to deal or see Urban youths.  McDonalds made their own bed and now need to sleep in the cuckold they created.

Nope, chipotle came on the scene before this current administration and started to wiped the floor with McDonalds, and so did Subway.

McDonald's the. Started offering healthier choices in food to compete. Also, other fast food chains have better quality burgers. You also have a lot of newer chains that have popped up as well.

And if you want to go there, one of their best offerings, Apple pies, was changed years ago.


Also, McDonalds makes a killing when it is near a high school, regardless of color.

You realize Chipotle is owned by McDonalds don't you? And yes, long standing big businesses have gone under during this administration. This is fact.

Their lukewarm burgers with fake meat suck. You can get a better version almost everywhere. Add the number of annoying kids & blacks, so I avoid that place.

It's a cheap alternative for people that can't afford much else but want to go out. Most are in oppressed areas be it black or white neighborhoods and around schools.

Chipotle makes burritos.  Chipotle is shit when you can get real Mexican food.  I doubt someone is craving a burger and decides to go to Chipotle instead.  Chipotle may have hurt Taco Bell but I doubt it affected McDonalds since their menus are vastly different.

No...companies like Chipolate and mid-class restaurants are chomping into the profit.  People nowadays want a more sophisticated lunch than just a burger and fries  

THIS.   5 guys.. price is actually comparable with McD.   I can get a burger meal for $8.50 from five guys, and the burger is insanely good... OR i can get a "premiuim" mcburger combo from mcd that is $8.00 for a MUCH weaker product.

Yes, the dollar menu is still somewhat intact, but the $5 meal at McD is suddenly a $7.59 meal.  


Personally speaking, my local McD is usually filled with pimply skateboarders drinking unlimited dr pepper.  I usually give them dirty looks or try to intentionally stand in their way as a little "hey, get the fck outta here" move to make it more pleasant for others.  Making them stop and wait while you give them a look that punks them usually leads to their egos hurt and them leaving quickly

It's a mix between targeting that demographic, too many menu items and not sticking to what they do best, and the organic/health food movement.

Color aside hasn't McDonald's always been a sort of teen day care, it really depends on your area if the people are black, white, Hispanic or asian?  Some young families take their children there for the play place.

Outside of the elderly in the early mornings not many other people are loitering at MickeyD's (not counting homeless or bus riders).

I chalk it up to there being stronger, better tasting competition. I know I find myself going to the smaller, more fanciful competition now. Same thing with KFC, I'd much rather Popeyes. When McDonalds kept trying to be king of the $ .99 cent burger is when it really got bad, you can only cut corners so much, before you see it in the products.

It used to be that McD's was one of the very few driv thru windows .
Now, everyone and his brother has a drive thru.
Too many choices now for the avg fast foody looking for a fast, fatty meal.

Exactly. Once you have Chipotle, you are not going back to McDonalds, unless is 2 am.


McDonald's has also been going thru renovations, making their places more "cozy" and seem like restaurants...flowers on tables, different designs and seating arrangements. They are trying to give a more upscale appearance.
