i was training a couple guys there and we went out back to find a half-cocked knee grow shitting between our cars in the parking lot.  one of many sights people don't understand if they've never lived/worked in the shithole ghettos of america.

I worked at walgreens in FL... it was gross but nothing outside of fat people with little peepees getting film developed.

I worked at McD in akron OH... people smoked crack in teh bathroom, people shit in parking lot, people left condoms in parking lot.  People came in with gaping wounds to order food.  Fecal matter turning up on walls, who does that?   yeah I hear you, and it's not a color thing - it's poor ignorant people of white, black, hispanic alike that pull the shit.

does the store surveillance stay locally, or instant upload to an off-site server?

I wondered if the fire was lit to hide some crime inside.  "IF" they find a body in there, some intact security footage could be difference between unsolved crime, and some a-hole going to prison.

they have click-it smartcam on in-store dvr's.  nothing is saved offsite unless a regional manager or lead LP guy (what i was) remotes into it and tries to save from it.  takes way longer and last i knew there was only a couple guys doing the job nowadays (for the entire region, meaning the whole city or larger).  if the dvr is destroyed then it's all gone.  i seriously doubt anyone cared to try and save any footage.  it is possible though.  that store was a thorn in cvs's side and corporate was probably happy to see it gone. lol.

The police finally marched on the CVS.   People looted it for an hour then lit afire.

They didn't immediately pull a fire truck to it, even though they had cnotrol of that block.  They let it burn.  What if there were people inside?  What if someone killed someone in there and lit fire to hide evidence, destory video camera, etc?

I know they have to take it block by block, but the riot was small and other police vehicles made it there - why no fire truck?  that CVS fire blazed for entirely too long.
