Don't know if you have read return of the kings website, but this guy is basically a getbigger, says fat women are disgusting, most women are hoes etc.Today he is on Dr Oz in the USA to express his views.

Im surprised Dr. Oz had him on, despite the guys negative views of him. Should be interesting.

Though to be honest, this guy Roosh definitely has his own issues.

I don't think fat shaming will change behavior. On the other hand, how to get people to "wake up" is beyond me. :/

But I do agree that the obesity problem is out of control in this country. Furthermore, the excuse, "Its genetic" seems to be an excuse.

However, I do not agree with the "its okay to be overweight" culture that we live in. It will only destroy societies/communities, i.e., physical and emotional health, psychological health, not to mention the cost of medical bills, etc.

I disagree. First, I don't care if someone is obese and do not want to do anything to help them. Why should anyone try? Its their choice. Fat Shaming is just critiquing their appearance and it will work for some most certainly.

Why should we not be allowed to make fun of someone who chooses to be a fatso? It would be like getting all angry when we offer a critique of a television show or what have you.

I'll never understand why its ok to make fun of shortness, baldness, big nose etc but the second you hate on fatness, or make a joke about race then its totally wrong.If its not ok for 1 of the above then it shouldn't be ok for any of it.

I think it should be ok for all all of it only. I would never say that it should be one or the other. Why would you want it to be not ok for any of it? Why even float that idea?

I'm not, I agree with you, but if you are going to take the opposite stance, it needs to be for all of it.The current stance makes no sense to me and seems hugely hypocritical.

Actually, in the long run it would be much cheaper to have them obese as they die earlier. The majority of medical expenses occur in advanced age and at the end of life stage, so it is in effect a money saving measure to keep them obese.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule. My statement was more of a general one. Fat shaming may help some people, but much of the evidence suggests otherwise. And I know you're a man who follows the evidence, correct? Oz produced 50 journal articles, I am assuming which are peer-reviewed. I will not waste my time looking for those articles, as its not too important for me. This is only a discussion on getbig.

I'm not sure it works like that. Plus, a fatso is usually not a productive member of society. There are fat taxes in some countries already.

what did he expect to accomplish by going on this show? all you have to do is watch one episode and you know you're going to be attacked by 200 people while you sit there all by yourself defenseless, did he expect good publicity from this show?
