When did you last have a fight, serious question because I haven't had one since I was 18, thats 32 years ago.
About 5 years ago.  I have probably been in half a dozen scraps as an adult.  But I used to box in my late teens and early twenties and did quite a bit of sparring.  Mind you, I ended up with a criminal record but I feel that is a better option than letting people walk all over you. I have lived in some rough areas and haven't always had a choice.  I am not as old as you, I am 42, but I am always prepared to throw down if push comes to shove.  I was just raised working class and spent my early years working blue collar, if you didn't learn to fight, you got pushed around.  Learning to box was the best thing I ever did, I think learning some type of fighting skill is essential for a man, I always notice a different inner confidence with men who have learned the basics of fighting. Learning to fight changes a man I believe and it is like riding a bike, once you learn you never forget.

a 37 year old man fighting is a 37 year old man with no social skills.

The only time you should be hitting someone is if you are attacked or mugged.

Tell me what the fight was about, Im dying to know.

There was no punching power, your punches are typical of an untrained guy.  Your punches are more like a pushing motion.  Power starts at the legs and good punching technique using your whole body will see it released through your fist.  Your stance is a little too square, you lead with the wrong hand most of the time and your chin is exposed constantly.  You're also slow as fuck.  Here is a tip, speak softly and carry a big stick, because you don't want to get in a fight with your level of skills, their are some killers walking around half your size, and you don't want to mess with them.

Shut the fuck up you lil internet nerd... My god you sound like a fucking douche-bag

Marty is strong. Not many men would stand up against a fat tal angry dude like this! This man is real and legit compared to juicers who are in 99.9% of the cases 150lbs twinks.

There are plenty. Here are 2 from work;

One guy on the floor, another took a run up and booted him in the head.

One guy on the floor, 2 stamping and punching, one beating his head with a length of wood.

Please tell me what 'social skills' would have saved those 2 guys from further beating?

I don't take him seriously, like all the people reacting badly to my critique of BigRo hitting the bag, it is obvious they feel insecure about their own ability to handle themselves.  The majority of adult men never learn to fight or even get in one. They recognize there is a side to themselves that is unknown and it creates a deep unconscious anxiety.  Some of these types of men question their manhood and feel intimidated by men who can or will fight if need be and criticize them in a self righteous manner to appease their own insecurities. I have been knocked out and also knocked other men out, fighting has taught me much about myself.  I consider myself an extremely civilized individual, but I don't take shit from those that aren't.  I take great pains to avoid a fight, but living in Australia in some of the rough areas I have done, this isn't always as easy as it sounds.

While I agree with some of your sentiments, I have to say your critique is bad. To say somebody cannot fight from that clip is a massive assumption. He may be an excellent grappler. He may have a head of stone and not need much technique.

Yes his boxing skills are lacking. But a lack of particular skills does not mean a lack of others.

I do.  Maybe you should heed your own advice.  if you talk to people a fraction of the way you do on here, I am surprised you haven't been beaten half to death.  But I suspect the Internet is where you can make up for being a pussy in real life.

Unfortunately in this shitty town it is normal life. Or at least was, it's calmed down a lot now.

There was a big coke problem here, and coke mixed with alcohol quite often results in bullshit like that where dickheads are involved.

I'm going to assume you are in agreement that no polite, well constructed and civil conversation is going to stop people like that.

I agree, I was critiquing his boxing skills, and should have just used the words box rather than fight. But even so, having little to no boxing skills would put you at a big disadvantage in a street fight, it is harder to take someone down in an open space as opposed to a cage, and it isn't always wise to do so if the person you are fighting has friends that will attack you once you do.  Wrestling skills are a huge advantage for sure, but personally I don't think you can beat some good solid stand up skills. And BigRo may well be an excellent grappler, just his size alone would help him in a lot of scenarios.  And I have no doubt he has a head of stone.  ;D

Im a polite well rounded individual in real life, this is the internet, its where people piss about and have fun.

I dont put myself in situations where people would want to hit me.

Jeez, its not hard to avoid conflict.

There are all sorts of dickheads wanting to fight if you go out in bars and clubs, just tell them they can beat you up easily and they move on to the next guy, if they hit you then hit them back, you should be able to talk yourself out of 99% of confrontations if you drop your ego.
