Great lets have the guy that issued the punishment hear the appeal. ::)

If the evidence against Brady is so strong, Goodell should welcome the opportunity to have a truly independent arbitrator examine it..guess not.

If a slightly deflated ball is easier to throw, catch and hold onto (I've never seen real evidence)...why doesn't the NFL deflate all balls? They're always looking to increase offense.

why don't you try to throw or catch one yourself for "evidence"

Haters best avoid looking at the record books.

If you ever need a reminder of how good Tom Brady is, all you need to do is look at the Super Bowl record book, which has basically turned into Brady's autobiography.

The Patriots quarterback practically rewrote the record book during New England's 28-24 win over Seattle in Super Bowl XLIX. Brady broke, tied or extended eight Super Bowl records in the Patriots win.

Among the records that Brady broke were: Most completions in a game (37), most completions in a half (20), most Super Bowl starts (6) and most career touchdown passes in the Super Bowl (13).

Brady's 37 completions broke Peyton Manning's old record of 34, which was set last season in Denver's 43-8 loss to Seattle.

The most impressive record is probably the touchdown pass record. Brady's four touchdown passes against the Seahawks gave him 13 for his career in the Super Bowl, moving him past Joe Montana, who threw 11 touchdown passes in four Super Bowls. Brady went into Super Bowl XLIX with only nine career touchdown passes in the Big Game.

Besides breaking four records, Brady also tied two records. Two big records.

Thanks to the win, Brady now joins Montana and Terry Bradshaw as the only quarterbacks in NFL history who have won four Super Bowls as a starter.

Brady's 328-yard, four touchdown performance against Seattle earned him his third Super Bowl MVP award, which tied Joe Montana for the most ever.

Of course, there were also some records that Brady couldn't break because he already had them. Going into Super Bowl XLIX, Brady held the record for most career passes, most career completions and most career passing yards.

By tacking on 37 completions, 50 pass attempts and 328 passing yards to those records, Brady probably put those records far out of reach.

The Super Bowl record book next year should probably just have a picture of Brady on it.

you forgot most times caught cheating

I means EVERYTHING to a quarterback if that's what he's comfortable with and has had success and confidence with.

You keep saying it doesn't matter, but never why he prefers it or why they deflated them for him.

OK OK I get it now. Here's our stumbling block- I actually like Brady and the Patriots. I frequently bet on them.  They always cover the spread. They win me money. I like Brady, he's cool.

You strongly dislike the Patriots and Brady. Perhaps you're a Miami Dolphins fan- perhaps you like the Jets.  No matter. Clearly you dislike the entire Patriot organization. That's cool.

In over 10,000 offensive plays run by Tom Brady, never, not one single time, has any opposing player complained or implied that the football was 2-3 PSI lower than the rules specific. Why? Because it does not matter to them. It means nothing. It's evidently just the way Brady likes the football.  It means nothing.

Go Patriots!

I don't like those teams and I don't actually dislike Brady.  I live about 10 minutes from Gillette Stadium and I'm a sports fan.  I like the Giants, so I would never change a thing about the Pats, since they've provided me was the best football memories ever.

But as for deflategate, I'm surrounded by all this BS right now.  I've heard almost every detail, argument, and "breaking news".  It's all anyone talks about.  What I can't stand is the blind homerism I'm surround by, and the myriad of excuses, hypocrisy, and arrogance of the fanbase and, to an extent, the organization.  The way the story has unfolded is high comedy (Pats fans went from physics experts with mastery of knowledge between the weather and PSI, to now legal experts in the language used in the wells report).

FWIW, a lot of the sports radio hosts up here are Pats fans, and THEY think the Pats are guilty and need to move on from this.  Claiming a guy referring to himself as "The Deflator" means weight loss?  You can't make this stuff up.

But, to say the football PSI doesn't matter is just silly, by the very fact that the QB wants the footballs that way, and the organization has a procedure on how they do it.

New England Patriots will not appeal NFL decision

Robert Kraft has decided not to appeal the discipline handed down by the NFL following the investigation into the use of under-inflated footballs in the AFC Championship.

"I don't want to continue the rhetoric," Kraft said Tuesday at the Spring League Meeting. "I'm going to accept, reluctantly, what (Goodell) has given to us. We won't appeal."

Kraft said that the interests of the 32 teams in the league are more important than the Patriots' interest. But he's hoping that the ugly back-and-forth that has taken place since the NFL's suspension will die down. The Patriots will accept the $1 million fine and the loss of a 2016 first round draft pick and a 2017 fourth round draft pick. Kraft also publicly supported Goodell.

"If I made the decision last week, it would be different than it is today," Kraft said.

Tom Brady officially appealed his four game suspension last week. The NFLPA confirmed Tuesday that Kraft's decision will not affect Brady's suspension.

I'm surprised no one is looking into the crooked Refs.  They handle the ball on every play.  During that specific game they were wiping the balls down with a towel.  You'd think a ref who's done hundreds of games would notice if a ball felt underinflated, but they didn't seem to care and let NE carry on.  If anything the refs are probably more corrupt than NE.

Exactly right. The thing is, like the NBA who blamed all the gambling and fixing games on one ref when all of the them were doing some crooked shit and fixing games, the NFL most likely has the same deal going on. The NFL refs are told by the league to keep the games "fair". Which means to help shitty teams stay in a game whenever possible. My guess is when it comes to deflated balls, Brady and others probably give gifts to refs to look the other way and or help Brady keep his balls on the low end...Aaron Rodgers like's a ton of air in his balls. He said he has his ballboys put 2 or 3 or more Lbs of air in his balls and hopes the refs don't catch it. Well if Rodgers is giving the refs who check his balls some extra cash/gifts on the side, then the refs will let it slide. I believe this is the real story of the NFL. Because not one ref has ever said a thing about any QB's balls in the history of the league, then they must be in on it. It makes no sense that the refs didn't fix the problem along time ago...

Yep. The argument about Brady not knowing is refuted by the fact he's an NFL QB who's paid millions and of course he'd notice the difference.  Same is true about the refs, minus the millions in dollars.  They'd know the difference of a soft football vs. a normal one.  Especially when they were wiping them down with a towel between plays that game.

Don't get me started about stupid refs in the NBA.  I hate it when they knowingly blow a call so a couple plays later they call a phantom foul to on the team who benefitted earlier to make it even.  I hate that shit.

I just checked the internet credit rankings, and it's now official - the 2 NY Giants victories over NE each count as 1.5 Superbowl titles, since the Giants likely had to overcome the Pats cheating.

Giants now have 5 legit titles to the Pats tainted four.  And Eli owns Brady in Superbowls even moreso.

I still laugh at how Eli has 2 and Peyton has 1 when Peyton was on more winning teams and had way better regular seasons.  I hope when they both retire that Eli has more rings.

I always found it creepy how Kraft called him Tommy when no one else did.  Even his coach calls him Tom.  Everyone calls him Tom but to Kraft he is Tommy.

Wonder if Tommy did private dances for Kraft.

I can't see Peyton getting another ring.  He's amazing but he's pushing 40 and has a reconstructed neck and I believe nerve damage in his throwing arm triceps related to this.  He can't keep this up forever and he's been the only thing on his good teams dragging them kicking and screaming to the playoffs for his whole career.

agreed on all counts.

Those NFL refs totally knew when the balls were a little off.  So did Brady, all lying little bitches.

And yes, that "make up call" bullshit in the NBA is disgusting too.   At some point, they should invest in software and robot refs that'll call the shit fairly.   G

I think that the rules have become so strict that if everything would be flagged the games would never end.
Was it already in early nineties when one ref said that you could call holding on eacd and every snap.

Why does Rodgers want his footballs overinflated? Does he have ernomous hands?
