I remember seeing a pic in MM when he was training with Cormier and i thought 'That's what i want to end up looking like'.

He looked strong and that's an awesome look.

PED's might be bad but if he was mixing with heaps of other drugs then that's what will get you more. Michael Jackson was 50 how much gear did he take? But he took plenty of Prescription drugs and wasn't exactly overweight.

PED's increase muscle mass ---> so you can lift much larger weights ---> lots more stress and risks for your joints --> chronic pain ---> painkillers ---> much bigger risk for kidneys and such

This isn't the first time, is it? The bodybuilder/kidney thing, I mean.

Happens way too often to be coincidence.  Guys from the 60s, 70s, and 80s were a lot smaller, but they seemed to last a lot longer in life.  What the guys are taking today, and the size it gives, is the obvious difference.  Dead at 49?  Not worth it; rather be smaller and live thirty more years.  Bah!

Thought for sure they were all dying of congenital premature old age.

I've done Deads for reps over 6 and a half plates a side and squats for reps over 5 and a half. Maybe i was young but i wasn't in any more pain doing them. I never took painkillers. If someone's going to take rec drugs like painkillers that's because of them not because of heavy weights.

He apparently used very similar compounds/dosages to what Gaspari did. And Gaspari is fine. So I think the painkillers and alcohol probably had a lot to do with it.

Steroids are fine but you need to keep the rest of your lifestyle in check.

What a great post. REminds me when I was younger and had eyes on me from certain people. Those dudes would always give me a tap on the shoulder for work well done. Got chills thinking of this now. They would hold me down on the leg press until I was done, lol... Talk about wanting to show people you had what it takes!!!

Now, gotta dig deep for self motivation as none is ever found by seeing advanced people.

RIP Joe, will always remember his pics in old mm2k mags.

This is actually called grooming, i'm glad you are safe and well.

These guys aren't taking 100% pharma gear. Their using powders from China with God knows what kind of fillers in it.

The abdominal snowman is 100% correct. I now have Secondary FSGS due to gear that was tainted with heavy metals. What is worse is that the supplier knew the gear was tainted and sold it to a number of people anyway. Anyone who has Trojan Labs gear would be wise to toss that crap in the garbage.

I saw him win some contest here in L.A. around 1999-2000, somewhere around in there.  I could have sworn it was the Excalibur.  I remember he won a sword.

As the kidney failure gets worse and the toxins continue to build up in the body, seizures and mental confusion can result. My wife suffers from both these symptoms. Awhile back she introduced me to one of her dialysis technicians. I've known her for several months, ever since my wife started dialysis at DaVita. Additionally when your kidneys aren't working right, you metabolize medications much more slowly, which can cause them to build up in your system thus magnifying the effects of the drugs. It can be a challenge to find the right dosage in these situations.

what you describe sounds like torture. I doubt anyone in their right mind would want to go thru that. Is she hospitalized and kept alive against her will?
