What gets me are the limousine liberal hypocrites who say they want to rid the world of fossil fuels and have everyone pedalling around on bicycles and living in caves - everyone but themselves, of course.

They'll tell you they have no plans to give up their limos, 12 cylinder sports cars, private jets, multiple mansions running on electricity, etc, etc. But they want everyone else to. 

Meanwhile, while we unnecessarily over-regulate ourselves into another recession, China, India, Mexico and other nations will continue their unregulated pollution, and continue to kick our asses in the global marketplace.

They could be. I am canadian doh, so it's likely different here, I don't here much talk about global warming. I do know some really rich people, multi millionaires and they all own multiple cars etc.

We need better tech and alternatives that are comparable or better. My ideal would be tech that could clean the atmosphere, enhance organic uptake of Co2, utilize Co2 in some manner, counteract it via coolants etc. Increase oil and gas production utilization and become a multi planet species. Engineered food, terra forming, harness the power of the sun, ride orion.

For NASA data go to the NASA website, not some biased news site or some writer's personal opinion.  Read the information on their website and then report back on what you find out. http://climate.nasa.gov/

Just as President Obama is about to give the commencement address at the Coast Guard Academy on the subject of the perils of global warming, a report has come out in Forbes Magazine that updated NASA data reveals that contrary to the many alarmist stories in the mainstream media, the polar ice caps are not receding.

James Taylor, who has written on energy and environment issues, reveals that the polar ice caps have not receded at all since NASA data measurements began in 1979. Taylor also notes that the MSM has remained resolutely silent on these latest NASA data revelations:

Antartic ice sheet collapsing

A vast slab of Antarctic ice that was previously stable may have started to collapse, according to new analysis of satellite data.

Research published in the journal Science on Thursday found the Southern Antarctic Peninsula (SAP) ice sheet is losing ice into the ocean at a rate of 56 gigatons each year – about 8,500 times the mass of the Great Pyramid of Giza. This adds around 0.16mm per year to the global sea level.

The sheet’s thickness has remained stable since satellite observations began in 1992. But Professor Jonathan Bamber of Bristol university, who co-authored the study, said that around 2009 it very suddenly began to thin by an average of 42cm each year. Some areas had fallen by up to 4m.

“It hasn’t been going up, it hasn’t been going down – until 2009. Then it just seemed to pass some kind of critical threshold and went over a cliff and it’s been losing mass at a pretty much constant, rather large, rate,” said Bamber.

I read the entire article on the NASA site and I don't recall seeing this graph. Are you sure it accurately reflects NASA's findings? Furthermore, Forbes expressly says that the contributing writer of the article in question reflects their personal independent opinion and does not necessarily express Forbes position on the subject of global warming..
