This post will probably bore the shit out of you....fair warning.
Today is the best day I've had in over a month. Today marks 4 weeks since the knee surgery. I am officially okay to put weight on my right leg. I celebrated this by mowing my own lawn and taking the puppies to the dog park and walking them twice around the park. I still did the prescribed leg lifts and extensions. Tonight, for the first time in a long time, I feel like the "frozen" tendons at the back of my knee are finally beginning to loosen up. My gait is near normal. I feel like I am suddenly 20 years younger.
I am putting off going to the gym until after my next doctor appointment, which is next Tuesday. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, I don't want to be tempted to do something I probably should not. Second, I will be in Salem, OR at a meeting all day tomorrow. This leaves Sunday and Monday for the gym before seeing the doctor. Sunday is not a regular gym day for me. So given the logic I have just invented, Monday would be the only official day that I could go to the gym. I am still go since Monday's are arm days and I am positive mine have shrunk in the last month. See how this works?
